Gorean Education Scrolls
One of the most complete learning tools for Gorean RPers. This site is put together in-character by a scribe RPer who has read all of the books, and rped in Gor for years. There's a good ten years worth of writing here, and most Gorean grid RPers on Secondlife have at least read the essays relating to their caste/character type.
What is Gor, to begin with? A campy long-running sci-fi series with over 30 books under it's belt. Despite a LOT of criticism, and arguably offensive content, the world-building skills of the author have turned what may have been nothing more than a trashy piece of pulp fiction into a roleplay environment that has grown and thrived. In the fanbase, you will find everything from people who see it as merely source material for their RP, to die-hard fans. As the roleplay universe becomes more main-stream, people who might have never even heard of Norman are looking for ways to understand his work well enough to RP it. That is where essays like these come in. If you've ever been curious about Gor, even if you're not considering IRC or Secondlife RPing, this is a good way to take a peak into the world.
