Hello all, I am here to share my thoughts on what entities dimension 20 characters would be the avatars of. Today I will be doing Fantasy High because it’s one of my favorites but I’ve also thought this over for Unsleeping City and others. I’m sure other people have also done this but it’s a fun thing to think about so I’m throwing my metaphorical hat into the metaphorical ring.

Fig- The Stranger

I picked the stranger because Fig has a lot of issues with not knowing who she is and pretending to be others, even finding comfort in being someone else. Plus she’d fuck up some clown makeup. Also kind of fits with college of whispers bard because psychic damage and stuff mayhaps?

Gorgug- The Buried

Ok I’m really proud of this one and at first it may seem like a weird pick but 1) Gorgug constantly has problems with being too big in small places which relates to the buried’s fear of being trapped/claustrophobia. 2) I think Gorgug’s arc in junior year really works with this because he has an insane amount of work with taking barbarian & artificer classes and struggles to manage it all so it relates to the buried’s fears of everything crashing down around you.

Adaine- The Web (is this too obvious?)

Yeah yeah she’s a divination wizard and the elven oracle you get it. Though I do want to add a small note about maybe being a little the hunt coded specifically because of the reality she saw where she was overcome with rage in junior year and was hunting down her mom, an interesting thought!

Fabian- The Lonely

This one hurts, this one really hurts. First off, DADDY ISSUES, the scene in junior year when he’s trying to contact his dad? Heartbreaking. Number 2, MOMMY ISSUES, Hallariel Seacaster can catch these hands I don’t even care, I hate her, she’s negligent and a terrible mother. Lastly, POPULAR KID ISSUES, do you ever wonder if even though he’s achieved Maximum Legend he feels alone in a school where everyone knows his name but doesn’t really Know Him? Yeah this one hurts.

Kristen- The Hunt

I was going to say the dark or the stranger because of her religion but I actually think the hunt works with Kristen’s constant search for meaning and answers. She also keeps switching gods and for a while doesn’t seem satisfied wherever she lands, even when she gets Cassandra she’s looking for a way out or something else to work on.

Riz- The Eye (duh)

I’ve already seen the posts about why Riz is eye coded, you’ve already seen the posts about why Riz is eye coded. He’s constantly searching for information and solving mysteries, he’s INCREDIBLY good at it, and he has files on all of his friends, this one is too easy and we both know it. Though I am going to give him a couple points in the lonely because, yeah, the speech from Sklonda about how she didn’t think his friends were very nice to him really hit hard and he’s so desperate to keep everyone together and yeah you get it.

When the Lomenelda-Faeth kid is born, Hallariel is overjoyed. She runs around the house, nervous, excited, but without ever letting go of her kid, why would she wanna be apart from them?

Fabian start sleeping in Mordred Manor, says that having to hear her get up for the feedings a couple of times per night is annoying. He doesn't say its hurtful, he doesn't say he knows she was never excited about him, he doesnt say he's jelaous of a baby. He doesn't say any of that because its ridiculous, embarrasing and nobody would understand.

When the Lomenelda-Faeth kid is born, Gilear is proud. It's hard to hold a conversation with him without him remarking the last new thing his baby did. Rolling over, crawilng around, babbling something that barely sounds like 'dad'. He buys a crystal with a better camera and memory to store all the new pictures he has to take to remember every moment of this wonderful new life.

Fig starts acting up. She smokes more, does harder drugs (not drinking, she's straight edge), she disguises herself and ruins the life of a few people. It's not like Gilear is gonna be disappointed, its not like he was ever proud. She can't admit to herself that she's jelous of a baby. It's ridiculous, embarrasing and nobody would understand.

And maybe there's just one night, when they're stuck with babysitting, where they sit on the floor and watch the little thing sleeping in their cradle. They lay on eachother and the tears come ever so quietly, ever so bitter. Bitter because they weren't enough, were they?

I have this vision of Fig being around Seacaster Manor (because of course she is) the day Fabian burns his clothes in the yard. He tries to explain himself, but she interrupts him to ask if she can burn something too.

She comes back after a bit with some sort of binder, but Fabian can't see whats in it. Fig walks into the fire, sits in the middle of it and goes through the binder's pages as it burns.

When they put out the fire, Fabian sees what's left of a photo album's plastic cover. On it, in Gilear's beautiful caligraphy, says "Figueroth Faeth, ages 1-12".
