@ last reblog: Gorik and Lylaac from the Breakneck comic are both aliens. Lylaac's planet species are all plants so they're all intersex Gorik's race/species, however, are everything and anything. Between individuals, anyone can have the equivalent to a vagina or penis or breasts. Like, they can have one or the other, multiple of each, multiple of both, or no sexual organs whatsoever even. Their people don't assign gender until they start puberty as older kids. They're allowed to pick a gender, then live with that. If they decide as adults to change their gender and position in society they have to file for it and go through the process of legally getting it done and stuff. Gorik himself does id as a male. His best friend was a petite warrior that was a soldier along his side in all the wars, he identified as male regardless of being really short, curvaceous, and had what humans traditionally considered female sex organs.
