Gary the gorilla
Gary thought his gorilla mask was pretty funny, awkwardly holding his drink and trying to get a laugh. But the moment the divine liquid hit, a sudden, crushing pressure squeezed his skull while a wave of savage power surged through his body. The mask was closing in on his head, fusing with him as his thoughts were reduced to primitive desires. His skin erupted into thick, dark fur, and his muscles bulged to monstrous proportions. He beat his chest with a roar that silenced the room for a tense moment before he screamed "Let's PARTY" and grabbed another beer to chug, his simple mind focused only on the pleasures to be had tonight.

Owen, just another guy in a bad mask, was quietly nursing his drink and thinking he should’ve stayed home to play some video games. That all changed with the next sip of his drink, as a wave of brutal energy surged through his body. With a mix of horror and exhilaration he watched his skin turn a dark green as it was pulled tight over massive dense muscle, tribal warrior tattoos burning into the skin. The pleasant taste of blood filled his mouth as savage tusks forced their way out. The quiet shy guy was lost to the aggressive primal instincts of Ork, a creature whose simple mind was instantly drawn to the massive Gorilla roaring nearby. With a grin, he threw an arm around his new partner, ready for a night of simple, unrestrained, primitive pleasure.

Seems it works out when Grodd decided to hop dimensions. Heading far enough out, the Universes are so radically different they don't even have a Grodd, a perfect situation for the villainous ape.
Deciding to turn the first Hero he sees, and who does he find but the friendly neighbourhood Spider-Man, soon to be the local rampaging Gorilla! He'll definitely be getting front page on the newpaper this time.
