A goofy thing I did, imagining what meal Goro would get/make for you during his visit if he were a romancable character. That meal, being him making you umeboshi onigiri by hand, don't question where and how he sourced the proper ingredients to pass his picky palate.
I additionally did a little bonus of V waking up to him in the morning, gently caressing his cheek as he greets them (her, in this case) with a smile. He most definitely didn't wake up first and was watching them sleep lovingly, of course not. Don't be foolish.
Okay... So we all know Goro was suppose to be our romance for V at first but it completely changed.
Do you think, because of the fact Goro is too loyal to Arasaka that he's incapable of love?
Sure he can love but imagine how angsty it'll be:
Goro is stuck in the middle between choosing Arasaka or V, betray his loyalty or betray his love. At the end of the day, he will end up not choosing V..
If you choose the Hanako path(The Devil Ending), trying to get Johnny's DNA out. When Goro goes to see 'em, he keeps it professional, but you can truly see the hurt in his eyes. The process of V getting better is not fully working.
All the other endings.. He will hate V.. But you can still see he's hurting big time with his decision..
i will forever mourn the romance we could have gotten with goro takemura. like from the in game moments we have with him—it’s a little more than obvious a romance was supposed to happen but then it was scrapped. like every soft moment between v and takemura drive me insane because of what COULD HAVE BEEN.
i truly wish they had kept the romance because it would’ve fit PERFECTLY with the entire theme of the game; no happy endings in NC.
spending time with takemura, getting close to him, learning about his past and how he became who he is now, him wanting to sincerely help v, the two of them falling for each other, and then choosing to save him or not to save him? like on one hand, v not saving him would leave them in shambles. the eternal struggle of not only falling for a corpo but now having to suffer with the thought of losing him?? oh v would be a mess.
and on the other hand; if v does save goro, not only the relief they must feel knowing he’s alive, but doing all of that, risking their life because they care so much for him, just for him to turn around and have him curse their fucking guts??? for not siding with hanako and her deal????? (bc let’s be honest, no one chooses the hanako route 😭)
like i’m a sucker for happy endings but god the angst of a takemura/v ending would be SO GOOOOOOD!! because no matter what, it would never be a happy ending between the two. even if v does take hanako up on her offer; v still dies in the end. which STILL does not give v/takemura a happy ending and UGHHHH i love them. i wish we could’ve gotten the romance or an open romance option within the game ughhh.
