I've read your take on the gorons on when they're sick. Now I'm curious, how would they take care of us the reader when we're sick?
So, what if reader gets sick, yeah?
Generally, gorons would panic a little (a lot). What the hell do you mean your temperature can both raise and drop?? What??
Yeah, the concept of you dying if your temperature raises too high is confusing and scary as Demise itself. They have some ideas how to make temperatures raise, but how to drop it? Nope. Zero knowledge besides fireproof potion that is clearly useless in this situation.
Clearly they will try anything they can to help you.
Daruk would carry you to hot springs. This guy found ones far enough from volcano that you can really get into water and don't turn into boiled chicken. It's actually nice! But depending on how you are feeling he might repeat it more often or cross it out completely.
Hugs! Healing power of love! Also, he just associates fast recovery with getting close to warmth of someone else, so you will have to tell if you are uncomfortable.
Tries to joke around to make you feel better. Smiles, says that everything will be alright. But when you are asleep? Stares at you thoughtfully, trying to think of what he can do.
Somehow finds way to contact other champions and ask for advice.
He is surprisingly good at making herbal tea.
Yunobo from BotW would panic. You? Sick? Oh what is he gonna do!?
Brings you rock roast, tries to ask other gorons or visitors of the mountain about what he can do to help. Eventually just asks you about it. Order him around, he will do anything if it makes you get better!
He flinched every time you cough or sneeze.
That sweet boy brought you fresh oranges because someone mentioned that they have vitamins to make you feel better.
Totk Yunobo is dying from inside from panic. But he is better at hiding it now. Goes around, asks Zelda and Link, as well as Riju, Tulin and Sidon. By the end of second day everyone know that you are sick and he has blurry instructions on how to help.
Sweet boy tried to make you chicken soup! He failed miserably, but you couldn't say no to his hopeful expression. Kinda made the situation worse. Literally thought that you were dying when your body decided to get rid of said soup... He started crying and made Link come help you insted. Didn't touch you till you got better.
In previous part I mentioned that gorons prefer to forget they were sick and miserable. So I think they do the same about your sickness.
If they did manage to help in any way, after you get better, they pretend that nothing happened.
If they messed up, they still don't mention it, but you can see them avoiding your gaze or glancing at you when you aren't looking.
I feel like all of them understand that they could loose you to a simple cold. It makes them anxious. What if they can't help? Will they be able to go on knowing they failed to protect you?
I think gorons in general are pretty chill, it's difficult to make them panic. But they barely get sick and this confusing feeling of weakness and pain all around their bodies. They strongly associate their experience with your situation and can't understand how you can handle it so well.
