"A beast sits upon an icy throne,
Picking any stolen morsel to the bone
Should its prize collection be snatched,
It will lash out in explosive attack
It slams its belly in victory, to let its subjects know,
This raging glutton is king of the snow."
-Goronga: The Gluttonous Grenadier-
Goronga (Gluttonous Monkey Beast)
Element/Ailment: Blast
Weaknesses: Ice***, Water**, Thunder*
Threat Level: 4 stars
Turf Wars: Turf wars with [unrevealed monster], ties(?); other turf wars are undetermined
Physical Description: A fat, reddish Fanged Beast with a blue face. Its hard belly is large, golden and rotund, allowing it to ignite its fists by striking it. Its long, tufted tail is reminiscent of a fuse, and long fur trails down its haunches.
Habitat: Goronga are primarily found in colder climates where their thick fur protects them fron the low temperature; however, they will avoid more desolate areas in which food is less readily available, making [unrevealed area] an ideal habitat for the species.
Diet: Unsurprisingly, Goronga are omnivores; eating anything they can find, steal, or catch. Some guild researchers believe that in order to generate their explosive sweat, Goronga must consume mass amounts of food, which is the reason for their gluttony; however, this is yet to be proven.
Abilities: In order to generate explosions, Goronga secretes an explosive compound in the form of sweat. Its fur acts to ignite the sweat when struck against hard surfaces, such as its large, drumlike belly. This belly is struck when enraged in order to ignite its fists, allowing Goronga to deliver blastblight-inflicting explosive punches. It is a primarily physical brawler, using its large size and powerful arms to combat enemies.
Behavior: Goronga is an alpha male Gonga, and is starkly different from young and females of its species. The severe dimorphism exhibited in Gonga is due to their social habits: Goronga guard a large harem of Gonga within a given territory, defending them from threats and competitors. In exchange for their protection, males take their pick of any food collected by the females, often stealing it directly from them and hoarding it all for themselves; however, Goronga are no stranger to taking food from other monsters, especially [unrevealed monster], which can often lead to them getting into trouble.
