Tetuan
I had a great experience touring the city of Tetuan in Morocco. It was definitely a culture shock, but it was a unique experience to learn about the culture and history that the city had to offer since centuries ago, such as the Medina. My experience has helped me to better identify my career passions further outside of academics. -Rachel Castillo
I enjoyed our visit to the maestranza while in Seville. We learned about the history behind bullfighting and were able to walk through the bullring. It was great to see how the people of Spain have pride in this tradition. Sadly, it wasn't bullfighting season so we weren't able to see any bull fights. I am absolutely in awe of Chefchaouen! I’ve never seen so much blue in my life! Although the floors were steep on this town on the mountain side, our cute, old, and cane-in-hand tour guide was conquering the road and was even far ahead of us. The labyrinth that is chefchaouen, aka the blue pearl, was difficult to navigate, but as a team we were able to successfully make it out and were able to catch some gorgeous views from the mountain side along the way. -Marissa Garcia
Tile workshop
Wednesday, March 15th 2017 Today we had a tile workshop, where we painted ceramic squares with intricate designs with vibrant colors. It’s significant to the history of Spain because they have azulejos throughout the cities. Each title conveys a story and it was a wonderful experience painting our own story and memories. -Kristen Ahumada

My name is Fernando Martinez. Today we went to the mezquita in Córdoba and feel like the world truly has an opportunity for peace. In there, one was able to find two religions in one place, creating a mix of cultures. No one had issues with it and felt comfortable from my own experience. I feel like I have been filled with Joy and excitement I had never felt before. My limits are now expanded!
