Completed GOSHUINCHO! Let's set up my next shrine and temple books

Finally got around to editing this video I took in early February showcasing my completed Goshuincho (temple and shrine stamp book) and setting up my new ones for 2026.

Daikakuji 大覚寺

I also visited Daikakuji all the way out in Arashiyama which was fun.  

They had some lovely painted wall screens while I was there, as well as lovely stone gardens. It was a very rainy day.

Got to do sutra copying there and was surprised to see the sheer variety of sutras they offered.  Usually most places only have the Heart Sutra.  But they had the Kongo one as well as a shortened heart sutra and the Kannon one as well.  

The one I did was kinda unique in that you wrote the name of Kōbō Daishi out and then traced his image.

(They gave explicit permission for photos of the sutras so don't worry about that ) also got to wear the pilgrim scarf, called Hangesa, when doing it.  It was nice!  It was very relaxing especially since again lots of rain, so the temple where I was doing sutra copying was warm and toasty (rare since most temples don't bother to heat their central places cause they're so big)

Starting a club of girls who collect seasonal flower goshuin but also secretly own the penis goshuin from kanamara matsuri. We are a niche crowd but we are serious about our craft.
