I’ve gotten a shit ton of followers in the last week (hello, hello!) and I’m pretty sure not all of them are here for GOT/ASOIAF content. disclaimer  :  i  ain’t  sayin  there’s  a  lot  of  shit  wrong  with  the  show  .   the  mistreatment  of  characters  and  their  handling  from  the  writers  is  near  fucking  abhorrent  as  far  as  seen  ,   and  it’s  a  tragedy  the  fact  a  lot  of  plotlines  ,   character  development  ,   and  conclusions  have  come  the  way  they  have  .   the  way  the  show  is  currently  being  written  is  a  disgrace  .

-  on  the  other  hand  ,   i  ,,,  do  love  the  current  plot  .  yes  ,  it  needed  a  lot  more  time  to  come  into  fruition  :   god  ,  a  lot  more  time  .   more  episodes  ,   more  depth  .  they  took  two  years  and  what  they’re  handing  us  doesn’t  feel  like  two  years  ,   it  feels  like  six  months  .   BUT  ...   i  do  love  the  idea  of  the  current  plot  .   

-  i  think  it  was  understood  from  the  beginning  that  daenerys  was  capable  of  as  much  evil  as  she  was  good  ,  and  her  actions  in  a  certain  light  are  completely  understandable  :  she’s  alone  and  grief - stricken  in  a  world  where  one  of  her  last  true  friend’s  words  were  dracarys  .   i  think  d&d  are  shitting  on  themselves  by  not  doing  a  better  job  of  showing  this  :   they’re  vilifying  her  without  giving  a  full portrait  of  her  mindframe  and  almost  every  scene  is  painted  to  make  her  look  like  the  bad  guy  .

-  the  lannister  storyline  is  just  poetic  .   painful  ,   and  seeming  a  waste  of  jaime’s  character  arc  ,   but  in  the  end  it’s  a  tragedy  .   think  of  the  theme  of  their  house  ,   the  song  that  plays  nearly  every  major  scene  of  theirs  :   the  reigns  of  castamere  .   oh  ,   it’s  a  disgusting  ,   terrifying  end  for  a  toxic  relationship  for  both  cersei  and  jaime  ,   but  it’s  fitting  .

-  arya’s  whole  storyline  ?   don’t  need  to  say  a  word  .   we  love  her  .

-  while  i’m  not  okay  with  sansa’s  justification  that  she’s  “  no  longer  a  little  bird  “  because  of  her  traumatic  experiences  ,   i  ...  think  it’s  an  interesting  juxtaposition  between  her  and  daenerys  :   her  first  priority  will  always  be  her  home  ,   the  north  (  in  my  eyes  !  )  ,   and  she’s  being  the  wolf  she  always  has  been  .   protective  ,   fierce  ,   and  heart - wrenchingly  loyal  .

-  OKAY  BUT  ARYA  CALLING  HIM  SANDOR  ?   BEFORE  HE  DIED  ?   that  ...   that  was  painful  .   i  think  ,   alike  jaime  &  cersei’s  ending  ,   it  was  something  that  was  always  coming  .   it  was  fittingly  tragic  .

-  i’m  not  okay  with  rhaegal’s  death  ,   no  .   that  felt  like  it  had  no  real  ...  purpose  to  the  plot  or  storyline  other  than  to  further  help  paint  daenerys  as  a  “  mad  queen  “  .   lazy  writing  .

-  i’m  not  okay  with  euron’s  actions  ,   either  ??   he’s  supposed  to  be  “  crazy  “  but  ???  there  is  no  genuine  purpose  here  .   his  ambition  is  to  be  king  ???   to  fuck  cersei  ???   i  think  he  was  used  as  a  scape - goat  to  ferry  the  golden  company  ,   but  beyond  that  i  think  it  might’ve  been  more  ic  if  he’d  gone  home  like  he  said  in  season  7  .

-  JON  ....   i’m  ...  cool  ?   with  jon’s  plotline  .   he  doesn’t  want  the  throne  .   but  ,,,   what  he  saw  ...  what  happened  in  the  sack  of  king’s  landing  ,,,   that  was  ...  traumatic  .   i’m  genuinely  excited  to  see  how  he  struggles  with  his  morals  versus  what  happened  .

-  grey  worm  attacking  innocents  felt  extremely  ooc  ,   but  ...  i  ,,  get  it  ??   missandei’s  final  word  in  mind  ,   his  grief  and  loyalty  to  daenerys  ,   the  scene  of  them  burning  her  collar  ?   it  was  to  cement  and  show  viewers  that  bond  between  him  and  dany  .   it’s  .........  fair  i  guess ,,, ?

-  BUT  THE  ACTING  /  GRAPHICS  /  ACTUAL  CINEMATOGRAPHY  ?   FUCKING  BLESSED  !
