I teach 7th grade Language Arts and legit all I thought of during school today were Alby/Newt/Minho headcannons. Good thing there was a speaker in or else I might have just gone on a Nalby rant. I spent the entirety of the speaker's presentation trying to look as scholarly as possible as I typed them out, when really I was just making my heart break. This fandom is going to either kill me or get me fired. (I'm looking into getting funding to provide copies of TMR for my students...)

Whoa, you're a teacher!? That's awesome! I wish I had had a teacher like you back in 7th grade. Sometimes I forget that teachers are people and that they can have the same obsessions as me. I practically did the same thing today though. I was suppose to be studying for my Psychology final but instead I worked on my Nalby fanfic and thought about my Minho x Gally headcanon. Luckily, since I don't have classes anymore until spring semester, I have plenty of time to work on fanfics and fanvids for these things now.

So...I want to thank you for your Gally masterpost. It made me take a step back and reread all of the Gally interactions in TMR. And I feel like such an idiot for not focusing on him sooner. He is such a fabulously well-rounded character. Every action he made was for what he believed to be the good of the group and I didn't see that. I can't believe I took him at face value! I'm terrified of how he will be portrayed in the film; Id hate for people to see him as I did up until finding TMR fandom.

I think I'm getting emotional. I'm so glad that you see him differently now! I apologize for being so aggressive over him. I'm also worried about the movie. I saw a quote from Will Poulter that said he played a boy called Gally who was a big asshole so I'm just really hoping that that's not all he's seen as.
