thinking abt boyfriends gotae… they’re so “didn’t realize we were dating” to me

they’re attached at the hip at all times. arm over shoulders or holding hands for no good reason. gotak gives juntae special treatment to the max, he’s unbelievably soft. i just know baku is making fun of him for it but at some point it’s just too… gotak will go from yelling and wrestling with baku to softly speaking with juntae the next second and honest to god giggling. baku will NEVER let him live it down

juntae is no better either with him bringing gotak snacks like he genuinely thinks gotak might starve to death suddenly. if juntae gets baku and sieun snacks it’s a passing thought and not at all with the great care he handles gotak’s banana milk

and yet they’re “just good friends” but they’re not fooling anyone because what do you mean you’re moving in together and getting one bed because it’s more economical. they’ll figure it out, maybe. or convince each other to get married for tax benefits

WHC Future AU !!!

I came up with this yesterday, and this will be the background info for a oneshot series I will be writing :) I still have a ton of other fic projects but I figured a oneshot series would be easier? I'm very much disappointing my ao3 subscribers rn T T

Disclaimer: I am a white person and the korean names I found are just from korean baby name websites, i did do research into the meanings though!

Post high school occupations:

Sieun studies classical mechanics.

Juntae studies medicine to become a doctor.

Gotak does a 2 year course in education and becomes a middle school gym teacher at 20.

Suho works his regular jobs, except now he doesn't have school so he earns more and can afford a caretaker for his halmeoni.

Baku works for his fathers restaurant but in his mid 20s he works at a gym as a coach for young fighters.

Yeongi does the same as suho.

Post high school living arrangements:

First Suho still lives with his halmeoni untill he's 20 and then Sieun and Suho start living together. (They started dating in HS), because Sieuns room isn't big enough for a 2 person bed, that is now the guest room/office and they sleep in Sieuns parents old bedroom since they barely stop by. The first time one of them did after Suho moved in it was really funny cuz they had to sleep in Sieuns old room.

Baku, Gotak and Juntae live together and it somehow works. Gotae isn't together yet.

Yeongi lives on her own but occasionally barges in. She also checks up on halmeoni. She's very sibling w Suho

Children !!!!!!:

(Don't ask me where they came from, no mpreg is involved but they are fully their parents so no adoption, I just say they spawned)

SHSE children:

Son: Ahn Eunho (은호) (Eldest)

Daughter: Ahn Eunyeong (은영) (Youngest)

They got Eunho when they were 29 and Eunyeong when they were 31

Yes their name starts with the same letter cause Suho and Sieun both start with S and Suho is corny like that. Eunho is a mix of both their names and eunyeong is a mix of Sieun and Yeongi. Can you tell Sieun let Suho name them?

Eunho likes art and learning, he is very good at art but not so good at learning school things and that frustrates him.

Eunyeong is very good at learning, just has no interest in it, she likes money and when she was very young, made schemes to scam her parents (they knew). 

Both Eunho and Eunyeong are quick witted. They are 2 years apart.

After Eunho had spawned shse both started working part time. Sieuns job pays well so they could afford it. At some point before Eunyeong spawned they bought a nicer house. Looks wise Eunho takes after Sieun and Eunyeong takes after Suho.

Gotae son:

Go Minseo (민서) (a year younger than Eunyeong).

After Minseo had spawned, gotak became a stay at home dad while Juntae does his doctor stuff. When Minseo becomes 12 he becomes a middle school gym teacher again.

When Minseo is 13, Eunyeong is 14 and Eunho is 16, Gotak, Suho, Baku and Sieun teach their children how to fight, when to fight and when to stop.

They all like it well enough, but Minseo has a certain propensity for it. Minseo starts fighting in MMA competitions when he is 14, but because he doesn't have to worry about money problems like Suho, he makes it his career.

Minseo is pretty shy but becomes really confident, cool and collected while fighting. Looks wise he takes after Gotak, but personality wise he's more like Juntae. He enjoys manga and anime.

Jobs:

Sieun: Mechanical physics researcher

Suho: Manages a delivery place he's worked for for ages

Yeongi: Works at a cat cafe but has a few side jobs.

Gotak: Stay at home dad back to being a middle school gym teacher

Juntae: Doctor

Baku: Works at a gym as a coach for young fighters.

Pets !!!:

Gotae family has a big german sheperd, that looks very scary but is very sweet.

Shse family has a grey cat that Suho named Sieunnie. It's very confusing for everyone but he has no regrets.

Baku occasionally feeds stray dogs and cats.

Extra Lore: 

When Baku started working at the gym, at some point he started blabbing about suho which resulted him accidentally signing suho up for an MMA fight. Both Suho and Sieun were nervous about Suho getting in a ring but he ended up winning and occasionally still does MMA fights, it pays well since he's an adult so he can afford to take a day off in the week where he trains hardcore with Baku.

The kids go to Eunjang (I know it's a boys only school, this idea has flaws but I'm working on it). Baku is like a legend there, which makes them popular since Baku dropped them off once. Eunyeong tells exagarrated stories about Baku back in the day, Minseo just nods along while Eunho looks at her confused when he occasionally tunes in and hears something that is very much not true. Eunho doodles all day, while Eunyeong sleeps (daughter like father) and Minseo tries to pay attention.

They all have their favourite uncle/aunt: Eunho's favourite is Juntae, Minseo's favourite is Sieun, Eunyeong's favourite is Yeongi (they bond over being the only girls). Suho, Gotak and Baku are very bitter they aren't the favourites/j

Eunho, Minseo and Eunyeong are very close. Eunho & Eunyeong see Minseo as their cousin and vice versa. They're all a big happy family.

everyone, at least once in their life, took a nap so good, they didn't know for how many hours they had actually slept. it always felt like the time passed so quickly and the next day arrived. they wake up with that irritating dryness in their throat, and the first thing they do after waking up is drinking a whole bottle of water.

sometimes, after such a long nap, we're not fully rested. our eyes are still sleepy, and all we think about is to turn over, close our eyes, and once again, fall asleep for a few hours more.

hyuntak likes taking naps like this. after all, his body knows better what he needs, and who is he to reject lying in the comfy bed under warm blankets? these naps let him not only recover physically, but also mentally—he can escape from his real-life problems, stop caring about school and tests or his grades. also, when he's asleep, hyuntak can't think about his feelings.

but it only happens when he's alone. today, juntae's sleeping right next to him, in hyuntak's very own bed, on his very own pillow, in his very own room.

it's late afternoon. it's the last day of september. yet, the sun shines like it's the middle of august.

hyuntak's room isn't too big, but it's cosy. there's space for everything he needs—shelves with old but golden taekwondo trophies, pictures of him, baku and the basketball team. there are some books for school, but hyuntak's not sure if he has every single textbook they use during lessons. but what he loves the most about his room, is the small window right above the bed. despite the drawn curtains, the bold sunlight falls into the room, shining upon both of them.

juntae looks so beautiful, sleeping peacefully, not a single thought bothering his mind. and the sun? the golden light shining softly on his face, making the boy look like taken away from a dream. he reminds hyuntak of some mystical creature, like an elf or a fairy. gotak doesn't know a lot about elves or fairies, but he's certain of one thing—juntae belongs to the sun.

juntae belongs to the sun.

hyuntak wonders if the other boy's aware of that. does juntae know that his smile can light up gotak's day? with juntae around, the school days are a bit more bearable; hanging out with him makes everything much more exciting, much more joyful. having juntae around just feels right, feels complete.

probably drunk from all that sun or tiredness, hyuntak snuggles closer to his friend. he did that as carefully as possible, since he didn't want to wake juntae up by accident. laying only a few inches away from him, hyuntak took his time to watch intimately juntae's face. soft skin with pink-ish cheeks. long, straight eyelashes. pale marks on his nose from wearing glasses. full, slightly parted lips. juntae's not from this world, he's definitely too beautiful to be from earth—and hyuntak means it, every single word.

he swallows thickly. his hand, moving completely on its own, went to juntae's cheek hyuntak's fingers traced the delicate skin with love, adoration, and care. it felt like touching something forbidden, something too fragile to be held.

"i really like you," he whispers, hopeful that despite being asleep, juntae can hear what he's saying. "i can't describe how happy i am that we met."

is juntae, too, glad they're friends? is his heart also beating faster every time they see each other? because hyuntak is ready to spend every hour and every day of the rest of his life on looking at juntae as if he's the most precious thing in this universe.

gotak's hand moved to juntae's hair, and now, he's gently playing with the short, dark locks. does it tickle? is it pleasant? would juntae say he likes that if he was awake?

thinking with his heart and not his brain anymore, hyuntak moves again, a bit closer. the tips or their noses are now touching, and it's the closest they've ever been. juntae's lips are right in front of hyuntak's, and even the sun himself tells them to kiss.

to kiss, is the only thing hyuntak can think of.

to kiss juntae's lips... that must feel heavenly. he imagines them kissing. it's slow, a bit shy in the beginning, as they both are just discovering how to do it properly, learning the structure of each other's lips. in his imagination, gotak's hands cup juntae's face, holding it dearly, meanwhile juntae wraps his arms around hyuntak, pulling him closer and closer, and closer.

to kiss juntae. in general. to kiss his cheeks, his forehead, his nose, his hands, his neck. to kiss means to shower with love, and when it comes to love, hyuntak can feel it deeply. whenever he looks at juntae, his heart is beating faster, his smile grows, his hands are looking for even the smallest form of physical touch.

but... laying with juntae in one bed in equally pleasant, equally intimate. the world is long forgotten and what matters is the feeling of the hot, steady breaths, of the warmth of the other body. it's only them, sleeping soundly, together—and hyuntak's heart and soul are so in love with seo juntae.

shyly and with fear, gotak presses his dry lips to the tip of juntae's nose. the pressure is so faint and doesn't last long, so he kisses the same spot once again, this time braver and longer.

"i really like you, jun." this time it's not a whisper. hyuntak's voice is louder, more confident, sounds more firm. the confession is being shared between them and the sun.

before hyuntak can move away for the sake of his own heart, juntae's arm moves onto his side, tightly wrapping around him. juntae snuggles closer, hiding his face in the blue of gotak's hoodie. for a second, hyuntak's afraid the other woke up, but no—juntae's still asleep and is now hugging him, and gotak can't help, but smile.

holding someone is nice, but what's nicer is being held. hyuntak's so thankful it's juntae with who he can share this intimacy, and before he can react, gotak slowly falls asleep.

and so, they're here—in hyuntak's room, lying together in his bed, hugging each other, with the sun as the only witness.
