What I really love about Supergirl is that the two people who reaffirm the fact that Kara is good are people similar to her. She describes Clark as someone who sees good in others, while she sees the 'truth'. Clark who, though not having many memories, must struggle with the fact that he lost his planet and 'abandoned' his people to survive just like Kara. Clark who is family, who wants her to adapt and have a home next to him. The other person is Ruthye, a little kid full of anger and grief so similar that of course, of course, it hits in the heart when she says she doesn't want to grow up to be like Kara. And of course it hits equally when she admits she was wrong, that Kara has always been kind to a fault. Both of them see her not just as the person she is, but the person they can be too. Atleast, that's how I feel.
