“Who is that?” Peter asks, staring unsubtly at you from across the room, before looking to Thor for an answer.

        “That is Y/N. They are a fierce warrior, I would be careful, Quill,” Thor smiles looking over at you, “Y/N does not take kindly to being underestimated.”

       Peter watches you talk with Valkyrie, before knocking back your drink. You are so magnificent. He has never seen someone like you before. There was a powerful energy around you, and Peter couldn’t quite put his finger on it, but he wanted to know more.

       You sense an pair of eyes on you. Casually, you look over. First you spot Thor, and then you see another man. Handsome. Tall. Looking your way. You wink at him, and he tries not to act flustered.

       “I think I’m in love,” Peter sighs.

       Thor laughs.

       “I’m serious I think I’m going to marry them,” Peter insists.

       “You have to actually talk to Y/N, first, before that can happen,” Thor teases, before slapping him on the back in a friendly manor, “Go! Introduce yourself!”

        After being slapped on the back by a god, Peter ungracefully stumbled towards you before straightening up. He tries to be confident as he walks towards you. Usually, Peter could flirt well enough with anyone, but this time it was different. He felt different. And, the combination of both your stare and Valkyrie’s was quite intimidating.

      “Hello, I’m Peter Quill -Star Lord- and I know that you’re my soul mate,” he says as smoothly as he can manage.

     “That’s quite an opener, Star Lord,” you purr, “I’m Y/N.”

Inktober Day 21 (finally) - Everybody

“And that’s how Episode IV ends.” Peter concludes.

“This is the dumbest story I’ve ever heard.” Says Rocket. Peter looks down at him, offended.

“Dude, it’s a classic! An epic adventure. Everybody loves it on Earth.” He argues. Rocket just shrugs as he maneuvers the ship.

It’s just another sleepless night for them. After getting up because of a nightmare, Rocket had deactivated the autopilot to fly the Milano himself, mostly out of boredom. He didn’t expect Quill to show up (he’d heard snoring from the captain’s quarters while walking to the cockpit), but not too much time later, there Peter was. After a bit of silence, Peter had decided to tell Rocket about some legends back on Terra, to kill time.

“Oh, come on. We’ve faced way worse than that Vader dude. And lightsabers? That’s just stupid. Do you even know how lasers work, Quill?”

Peter sticks his tongue out at Rocket.

“It’s the best saga ever.” He declares. “Someday I’ll make you watch it and I promise you’ll change your mind about it.” Rocket snorts.

“Why watch the Star Wars movies when you can have the real deal?” after Ronan, Ego and the menace of Thanos getting closer by the day, their team had its fair share of galactic adventures. Rocket wants nothing to do with made up guys like Han Solo and Chewbacca, thank you very much. Even though he thinks the pair resembles him and Groot quite a lot.

“You need to learn how to relax without blowing up stuff, dude.” Peter huffs. Rocket just snickers.

“You know what? If you manage to retrieve those movies within the next week, I promise I’ll watch them all. I won’t even pause them.” He says.

Six days later, Peter approaches him with a small hard drive in his hands and a devilish grin plastered on his face.

“You promised.” Quill says. Rocket growls.

Eventually, the rest of the team decides to join them. Rocket grumpily keeps his word and he ends up on the couch, squeezed between Peter and Mantis, with Groot sitting on his shoulder.

Drax falls asleep halfway through A New Hope. At the beginning of Empire Strikes Back, Gamora just gets up and leaves. Mantis reacts with almost too much enthusiasm to literally everything that happens. Kraglin falls for princess Leia in an instant. Groot hates that he can’t understand anything that Chewbacca is saying.

Rocket loves it all. He’ll just never admit it to Peter.

Notes: I finally made it! Okay, this is basically a missing moment from the drabble I wrote on Day 15 - Witness. Yay, lazy references! Hope you enjoyed! Btw I have a couple ideas for the next drabbles, I just don’t know if I’ll find the time to write them down because my week is going to be a mess. Damn it.

Teeny little drabbles in this silly Thanos/Adam AU universe that was off of some of adamwarlock’s art

Adam’s father hated Thanos. He thought he was an idiot (Herman thought everyone was an idiot) and never went anywhere he knew Thanos would be. Thanos refused to have anything to do with him, because that was a thing Thanos did. 

Neither knew that was exactly how Adam liked it--no awkward family dinners for him.

When Thanos got out of politics, he had more time for Adam. And Thanos, sometimes, could be a real romantic--he was all about the grand gestures, like renting out entire restaurants, or going on extravagant trips. Or buying an island just because Adam wanted somewhere private to hang out with his friends. Everyone else found it hilarious, and adorable, except Gamora, who would just roll her eyes.

Magus' weird entourage was growing. Adam had tried to ignore it, but every time he visited his brother, it seemed to have gotten worse. It came to a head when Thanos made a nasty comment in passing about Magus' 'little cult' and threw a book with the Magus' picture on it at Adam that he realized it was true. 'Motivational speaking' and 'teaching people to help themselves' for enormous fees had morphed into something even more sinister. Adam was glad that they were only paternal twins, so he could pretend they weren't related.

Peter was, by far, the most ruthless of Adam's friends. Sure, some of the others seemed worse, but Adam knew the truth. It might be wrong for Adam to take advantage of that, but using Peter to knock Magus down a few pegs...well, he couldn’t resist. And it wasn’t like he was alone, all their friends got in on the fun when they realized what was going on. And the best internet meme of the year was born out of a gif of “the” Magus demanding his followers build him a throne. How the video even got taken, well, Peter refused to give up his sources.

"I wish capes were still around," Adam said, breaking a comfortable silence.

Gamora nodded. "There are some things that can simulate that feeling, I suppose."

"Just buy a freaking dress already," Pip muttered, putting on a pair of earphones as he glared at the two of them.

They dragged him dress shopping the next day.
