And if Adrian Chase wasn't played by a conventionally attractive man people would not care about him that much. Yes, he would still be a cool character that many likes but he would not be this beloved, fandom only talks about him guy. Heck, there would be many people that would find him annoying and probably throw ableist comments at him because being neurodivergent is only cute when you are hot and funny

rewatching gotg volume one (again; shut up; i'm very normal about this) and i am once again reminded of the similarities between lylla and drax

volume three lylla: it really is good to have friends. volume one drax: it is pleasing to once again have friends.

anyone who says drax is "just comic relief" isn't looking

Drawtober #1 - Curse

First drawing out of the list. No signs of the guardians right now but they'll be appearing for the rest of the prompts.

Most of these will have stories that go along with it that give context to the drawing.

Story:

The guardians huddled around the center table to see what items Rocket decided to snatch up this time. They had to implement this rule after the battery incident on Sovereign.

"Empty your bag Rocket," Gamora said with arms crossed.

"What? You really think I stole something?" Rocket said defensively.

"Rocket," Mantis warned.

"Fine Fine, ya got me," Rocket said before taking off his bag and emptying its contents.

Out rolled just scraps of tech, a gun he stole and then lastly a little necklace that had a pumpkin with a face on it. Gamora picked it up to examine it.

"Who did you swipe this from?" Gamora asked. "I didn't. I don't steal necklaces," Rocket answered. "Sides, ain't somethin that would catch my eye anyway."

Gamora only hummed in response before handing it off to Mantis.

"I'm being serious! I didn't even see that necklace while me and Groot were runnin for our lives," Rocket defended himself.

"I dunno pal. You have done this before," Quill said as he moved over to look at the necklace as well.

"I do agree with Peter Quill. You have landed us in precarious situations due to your stealing," Drax said.

Rocket growled, clearly getting frustrated at the others pointing the blame on him. He only calmed when Mantis put her hand on his head, silently telling him she's on his side.

"I say we leave little fuzzy alone. He clearly stated he didn't steal it so he most likely didn't," Mantis defended.

"Well someone did and it wasn't me or drax," Gamora stated.

"Listen we can discuss this later. First we need to decide what we wanna do with it," Quill said.

"Why not sell it? It may be some units," Rocket said.

"Not helping you're case," Gamora said.

"What else are we gonna do with it?" Rocket asked.

"Why not return it to its owner?" Mantis suggested.

"How would we even find them? No, I say we go with my idea of selling it," Rocket said.

Slowly a small argument broke out between selling, finding, and keeping the necklace. It slowly grew louder and louder until Quill's voice broke through the air.

"SILENCE," his voice sliced through. "I do not want arguing on my ship. We will sell the amulet and use the units to repair the ship. That is final."

Silence followed as Quill stood there fuming. That was until Mantis spoke up.

"Um Quill?" She said.

"What?" Quill asked.

"Is that supposed to be glowing?" Mantis asked, pointing towards the necklace.

Quill looked over to see the pumpkin face glowing. A sudden thump was heard and the guardians turned to see Rocket passed out on the ground. Before they could do anything, Quill saw drax start to stumble before passing out as well. Panic filled Quill and he rushed to the control panel to set course to knowhere on auto-pilot. Another thump came behind him as he pulled up an emergency transmission to send.

"Adam! Nebula! We're in trouble and don't know whats going on. As soon as the Milano lands get us out and figure out whats happened to us!"

Quill's vision started to blur and darken as he hit send. Stumbling he watched it load and just before the darkness took him, he saw it send. Hopefully they can figure out what's happened to them.
