+ @gothamsvale asked: Have you ever wished you hadn't fallen in love with someone who will always be split and always a target for danger?
+ The question took Mary Jane ABACK just slightly . There had been times she had been pushed to her LIMIT by how much danger seemed to constantly be a part of her and Peter’s lives . Some she’d been RIGHT in being angry over, and others she knew in HINDSIGHT had been misplaced rage . Through it all, she’d always thought the challenges they’d faced had made their marriage STRONGER .
Pursing her lips, MJ drew in a slow breath through tight lips. “ Sometimes, but I think everyone wishes they lived a DIFFERENT life at times. Right now ? I wouldn’t change it for the world. “

Pitch walked along the roof tops of the city watching his nightmares spread fear to the children. But for the whole night it felt like someone or something was following him, “You know, you should really find another hobby. Stalking someone is hardly a healthy activity" the nightmare king snickered as he pet one of his nightmares.

With the layoffs at the Planet, Clark had been lucky to have a phone interview with the Globe. He was offered the job once the editor in chief had been sent some of Clark’s pieces on Superman. While they had their best team on their own superhero, Batman --the exposure the reporter brought would be a great addition.
Gotham didn’t feel all that different from Metropolis, was Clark’s first thought as the cab dropped him off. He grasped his briefcase, and pushed the lenses back towards the bridge of his nose as he took a look at the tall building. The last time he’d been at Gotham it hadn’t been in the best of situations. Opposing views for the greater good was a tale as old as time. Some would say even entertaining the idea to relocate here was ludicrous. But Clark never cowered away from conflict.
As he avoided collision with a handful of quick paced citizens, he managed to enter the building. Looking at the paperwork he’d been sent, he was momentarily distracted. As he reached out to call the elevator, he noticed an attractive woman had just done so. Clark pushed back his glasses once more, a shy nervous smile greeted her as he pressed his lips. “How do you do, miss?”
“Getting yourself into more trouble, Miss Vale?”
The Dark Knight Detective’s low tone inquired, looking up from the bullet ridden corpse he knelt over to inspect, and over towards her. Studying the familiar blonde photojournalist for a moment, the rain pouring down freely around them in the alleyway. Familiar to both Batman and Bruce Wayne. A flicker of amusement flitting over his hardened, grim features.
“You show up to a crime scene faster than the police or I do, some nights. Looking for another scoop?”

The Globe wasn`t as bustling as it usually was at this hour, though Alice expected this was just the calm before the storm. There, after all, never was a quiet moment in Gotham. But with her newest piece all written up and ready to print, the brunette found herself with nothing to do.
Spotting Vale from across the room, Alice grabbed her coffee and made her way over. When it came to coworkers, Alice had never quite mixed. From childhood, she had learned to treat her peers as competition, and that definitely followed her through to adulthood. But Vicki Vale... Well, she didn`t think Vicki was too bad at all, really. She admired the woman's drive and determination, qualities hard to find these days, especially now that the city was going to shit.
Blowing the steam off of the top of her mug and taking a sip, Alice greeted Vale with a small salute. Placing her coffee to the side, the brunette cleared a space to sit.
"Morning, Vale," Alice stated, although it came out sounding more like a question. "What`s new?"
