Film Fridays are just more fun in October. For this evening I chose the classic Night of the Demons (1988) directed by Kevin Tenney. Did I choose this movie for it’s perfectly spooky intro credits? Because it resembles my dream party at a funeral parlor on Halloween night? For the kitschy 80s teenage stereotypes and horror clichés (the only downside of the movie being the meat head sexist characters)? For it’s equally kitschy 80s soundtrack? Maybe for it’s blend of comedy, fantasy, and horror? Or was it for its quintessential Halloween atmosphere through and through? The answer is no. I chose this movie because it contains the single, MOST EPIC, goth girl dance scene that has ever graced my eyesight. We’re talking Bauhaus blaring, black lace dress, black veil, candelabras, fireplace, tiara, red lipstick, exorbitant eyeliner, and most importantly, possession by a demonic spirit! What goth girl dreams are made of! 🖤🙏⚰️ Happy Friday the 13th! 🍂🖤🎃🖤⚰️🖤🍁 #filmfriday #nightofthedemons #gothgirldreams
