Just had this idea about Tiny Damian wrapped up in Batdad’s cape and then I had to animate it

As we all know, Batman's cape isn't round

Which means it has at least 4 corners (Knafot/'wings')

+ Bruce Wayne is Jewish

If the batcape can be shaped like a bat when shaped then I think the supercape should be shaped like the S shield when spread out.

Batman’s cape is often portrayed as longer than he is tall, right? And it kind of sits on his shoulders, almost wraps all the way around like a cloak. Which means that when he’s walking normally or just standing, the cape pools on the floor. This leads me to conclude a number or different options that Bruce uses to prevent tripping.

Option 1- The High Heel Tip Toe. Obviously not practical during fights, but if he simply needs a few inches… and it has the added bonus of the tip-toe stealth, and makes him seem even taller than normal, thus increasing his intimidation.

Option 2- The Prom Dress Walk. The most applicable when going up stairs. The one or two hand grab where you hold it up to dangle just above your ankles. Now, this one could theoretically be difficult because it’s hard to do (in my opinion) if the dress has a large slit, and I assume a cape would be similar, the open front acting like a large slit and the left and right not being connected in the front.

Option 3- The Catwalk Stride (A.K.A. The Winter Soldier Murder Strut) Now, I realize that this may be used few and far between, given Batman’s tendency to simply disappear and reappear in a different place, but on the occasion that he has to walk somewhere, this is helpful. At it’s base, it’s simple physics, the faster and more confident he walks, the better the cape fans out behind him, thus staying out of his way. This has the added benefit of making a cool billowing silhouette, getting him places faster, and eventually leads to the police dubbing him “determined”. While it’s entertaining and quite plausible that Selena taught him “The Walk (tm)”, I think it’s also possible (and doubly hilarious) that Brucie Wayne already knew how. This, of course, leads to people offhandedly recognizing the similarities between the Batman and Brucie’s strut, which in turn leads to either Batman claiming he learned it from “my dear friend Bruce” or Bruce claiming Batman “taught me everything I know.”

Option 4- Infinity Scarf. Sometimes I like to think he just gets tired of it and just kind of gathers it up to drape around his shoulders like the bunch of fabric it is. Has the added benefit of acting like a real scarf, both warm and waterproof.

Bonus- I imagine him greeting people with a dress-curtsey, where you hold the skirt out to each side as you get closer to the ground.

Double bonus- one day Bruce gets tired of the length of the cape so he gets a new one that doesn’t reach the ground. He goes back to the old one within a week after his children AND his butler start making jokes about how scandalous it is that they can see his ankles.

In conclusion, Batman has a cape. He chose to have a cape. Sometimes he regrets having a cape. LET THE MAN HAVE A CAPE! That’s all, thank you for coming to my Ted Talk.
