tangentially I think the latching onto "cultural appropriation" so hard even to describe things that don't technically fall under it happens a lot bc it sounds more legit or academic or something than just describing racist attitudes as racist
Yeah definitely like I think a big example of this is stuff like racist Halloween costumes where people dress up as a racial caricature. People call those “cultural appropriation” because it makes it sound more ‘sophiticated’ and i guess are used to describing “being racist because you wore something” with that language even though oftentimes youre dealing with stuff that literally doesnt match any definition of “cultural appropriation” (both better and worse ones) that ive seen.
Also, considering how gothhabiba literally thinks that asexuality is white supremacist just because she doesn't understand it, I find her fishing for sympathy to be a bit suspect. Guess what, we all gotta deal with that shit too! You're not special! You don't even know what marginalizations an anon faces, not that you can even always tell from blogs or photos anyway! And it wasn't even relevant there besides! If someone asks you nicely not to do something that hurts them and that wasn't necessary to do in the first place, you stop doing the thing, not claim that your convenience matters more because you're ~~so oppressed~~ and that what you're saying is somehow ~~~actually radical praxis~~~.

She's so clearly upset and I support her in it! She gave them INSTRUCTIONS! They're being such a terrible crowd distracting her like that!!!1

I feel like "I want a woman who's comfortable discussing sex" means something closer than "I want a woman who can talk dirty & tell me how much she loves whatever I do" more so than "I want a woman who actually tells me what's working for me and what's not"
*closer to
oh, it's interesting that you interpreted what i wrote that way! did you mean "what's working for her"?
and i meant it more in the sense that they say want a woman who asks for sex and who initiates it more often, but when a woman is more sexual than the man and "too" vocal about it, meaning she tells him everytime she wants it and she's assertive about it, the dudes don't actually like it and they get upset cause they start to feel like a piece of meat basically
