Tears were still streaming down the child's face when she awoke suddenly to the woman standing in front of her. Wordlessly, she shot forward to hide into Morticia as though that would shut the entire world out. Trembling in fright and grief, small fingers clutched tightly to the older woman’s clothing. “Don’t let her,” she whispered pleadingly, “please don’t let her, please...”

2022 is coming to an end ( The Meme ): While I haven't gotten to interact with you too much, I really enjoy seeing you on my dash & reading your writing. I hope to talk more OOC as well in the new year.

"I'm glad to be your friend Tish and I do try my best to care." Xavier looks at her from the corner of his eye with a tilt to his head and a thoughtful look "Even for those that don't care about me but I'm not going to talk about that now because a new year is coming and everything is going to be new again." He jumps up out of the chair and walks over to her with a smile "What are you going to be doing for New Year's Eve , Tish? Anything interesting?"

Xavier then tilts his head to the side looking at her "If you want we can have a party just the two of us and see in the New Year's with our friend's or I could shut up because you probably have plans." He chuckles then and cocks an eyebrow at the other "I'm going to be alone for New Year's this year unless I go to a party with a bunch of strangers and thought that might have appealed to me in the past it doesn't anymore."

"It's going to be okay, I promise Tish." Xavier looks up at her from where he's sitting on the log that he had found on they're walk in the forest. The walk that had ended up with the both of them lost in the dense trees because he had just had to go off the path to investigate. "Someone will find us and we'll be laughing about it by morning." He hoped so anyway because it was supposed to be a little bit nippy that might and he hadn't worn his coat. He had left it in the van along with hers.

"I told my friends that we would be coming out here and how long we would be here, if we don't get back at a certain time they'll come and look for us, I promise but until then why don't you sit down with me and we can stay here so when they do come they can find us a little easier." Xavier pats the log beside him looking up at her "I'm sorry that I got us into this mess Tish. I never should have gone off the path."

"I have plenty to say about all of that I just can't get my words together at the moment to say it Morticia. I want to know who told you that I'm a reaper before I was ready to do it for myself because that is a very delicate subject that should only be shared between the two people that it was meant to involve and that was you and me." He looks at her and then shakes his head "I would have told you I promise you Morticia, I just didn't know how."

Issac sits down and rubs his face with his hands as he gets a thoughtful look on his face "So who was it? I want to know so I can have a little bit of a talk with them about spreading personal information around without the permission of the one it's about. I can't go through the rest of my life fearing that someone is going to pull the rug out from under me when it comes to this."

"It is in an alternate dimension. Do you really think that the land of the dead and the land of the living can always coexist in the same place? No, one has to be separate from the other for the sanity of it's inhabitants." Issac looks at her from the corner of his eye and tilts his head to the side with a thoughtful look on his face "Take what you experience with spirits now and magnify it by 100 and that's what you would get if the two were not separate."

He then walks over to the window and looks out, watching the rain fall from the sky outside "I have to confess that there are more spirits in this world that stay behind as ghosts than most people would think about and if they knew they would probably have to find a way to try and help them pass over but it's not that easy when they die of violence. They think that they still live in this dimension even though they don't."

Issac looks at Morticia and chuckles "Surely you are not that bad and I think the world is better off with you than without you. Just because you have a unique way of doing things and thinking doesn't mean that the world isn't a safe place for you. it just means that you must find more people who appreciate you for who you are and not what the world wants you to be."

"I think that you are very refreshing for a mortal and I like your uniqueness. I hope you never let what the people of the world think of you dim that and I also hope that more people grow to understand you and not hold you out as weird or anything bad." He comes over and sits his the chair beside her "Until then know that you have a friend in me at least and I might be a reaper but I can be a good friend."
