An orphan walks into a bar, face stone cold and eyes sunken deep as caverns. The ridges on his noes like battle scars from a war long forgotten. The pelts hung over his shoulders, lifeless yet ferocious in a way only a true predator could be. The bar he inhabited was musty, the frigid winter air breezing through the rafters. Every clunky step he took caused the termite ridden floor boards to quake like the icey oceans in his eyes.
“One, two three” his voice was menacing and unfitting of the jovial tune. “One for you, two for me horse and three for me”
His hand slapped down onto the counter, the fox on his shoulder jumping, unconsciously demonstrating his monstrous strength in such a simple action. The bills crumpled and dirty from weeks spent in the pocket of his worn trousers. The bartender’s nose twitched in distaste, long handlebar mustache following suit as if it were choreographed. He snatched the bills none the less and begun pouring the old bottle into six neatly placed glasses on the oak bar.
The saloon was small, typical for it’s time and most importantly boring. It didn’t catch the orphans eye as much as the mounts did out front. Looking over the layout with a hunched back he stared over every customer with no care to how they squirmed. With only two tables the bar seemed favorable to travel worn eyes. But at closer glance was very mundane, feigning a broken toothed smile the orphan downed his three shots, carried two out the swinging doors. The lone glass sitting on the table seemed to radiate the orphans unique aura regardless to his presence . The tables sitting nearest to the door held the careful types who’d want to get out quick if anyone was to stir something up. They all wore western clothes with shiney accents that glowed with their wealth. One of the lads dared a look out side. Only to see the orphan boarding a magnificent horse. Tall and dark, built perfectly, groomed immaculately. He was in awe and then enraged as he saw the orphan tip his hat to a lady in rouge, the tell-tale smile sliding onto his handsome face.
