Wow so Ash was standing behind and still his hand is in front of gou? Dare i say in a protective gesture? The bachinkeys are wild pokemon and both don't know if they'll be hostile so Ash's reaction is to somehow get gou behind him? Also Pikachu watching his back! That's for sure protective. Now was this intentional or just sloppy animation?
Another instance where Ash turns to look at gou. Now it wouldn't have mattered much to me if he had turned when he started speaking the sentence. But he turns after he's said it. And then we get to look at gou from Ash's pov (in all his shining in the moonlight glory... yeah don't mind me I'm dramatizing here but the way he keeps looking at him makes you think that was exactly the case) and he continues to look at him even while he's talking to grookey. I mean they did have to turn his head as gou walked ahead. Wouldn't it have made more sense to turn it at that time? Or why turn it in the first place? The reason I believe for this would be Ash sensing gou's intention (hence the sad look despite gou being cheerful?) to let grookey go if he wanted to. I think it's a moment of insecurity for gou to see grookey to listen to someone when he doesn't listen to gou most of the time despite him being his trainer in turn thinking grookey would develop and be more happy with bachinkey. Ash really is good with emotions and not just of pokemons it seems. Or maybe this is me overanalyzing for no reason XD
Wow they made them stare at each other for three whole seconds? Either they were out of content and wanted to drag it or them staring at eo for that long was deemed necessary for some reason...
Well all those might just be sloppy animation but atleast i know Ash and gou were leaning against each other and it was totally intentional XD
