Fresh proof of a new engraving I've been working on.

This is my 2'x4' cubby at the Gowanus Studio Space. I have set up a rough, but organized system to be able store everything inside, including the component pieces of Gates and Balance. Membership and monthly rent was pricey, but it has pretty much everything I need, everyone has been really friendly and it is conveniently positioned close to Build it Green!, Lowe's and Home Depot. Home sweet home for the next 3 weeks.

it looks like gowanus studio space needs some help right now so they don't get evicted from their space. they're an awesome artist space and center for fun things like the boat building workshop i did with them last summer. if you appreciate the arts and good people, donate some money towards their cause.

Gowanus Studio Space

So, you're an artist and you need like a million things to create your art. What do you do? Well, Gowanus Studio Space is a home for artists that need... everything. The Gowanus Studio Space has a printshop, digital print lab, and Wood Shop / Fab Shop. They also have crazy workshops/events! Like early this year: they built kayaks from virtually nothing; hosted second annual VENT Festival that featured artists exploring personal and cultural histories through performative gesture; built a Trajinera, which is is a Pre-Hispanic Mexican Barge, and then used that same barge to have on the water conversation on Mexican migration with journalist Eduardo Porter. Crazy awesome!
