I am bothered by the fact that I am getting hundreds of notifications of likes and reblogs for a post by somebody who reblogged my post and removed all the content unique to me (which was the whole point of the post to begin with) and replaced it with a message they write on all their posts.

You should know that The Ark (from One era) also shows the destruction of the Earth. Apparently, Nine's episode was retconned by saying that the Time War altered the course of history. So you might not have to feel upset about things anymore.

Oh, I've seen The Ark. (I'm watching all of Classic Who in order from the beginning, so I've seen everything through Earthshock.) I'm personally not convinced that its events are contradicted by what's shown in The End of the World, that episode's writer's comments to the contrary.

Accidental ripples from the Time War are a cheap answer, anyway. The Doctor still left Adric to die, and never went back to save him.
