     Gróa can’t help the smile. How long has it been since she received such a blessing? Not since she fled to the lowlands, and she doesn’t have the words to describe how she has longed to hear it again. ( She doubts the gods will ever trust her fully again, and she cannot blame them for it. All she can do, really, is try and prove herself worthy of them. With another of the Avvar at her side, it almost feels possible again. ) 

     She thumps Eira’s shoulder firmly with the palm of her hand, a friendly and encouraging gesture. At least, it’s meant to be; gods know the lowlanders flinch whenever she does such a thing to them — but Eira is no lowlander. What a relief. 

     ‘ And you. Now, shall we show these lowlanders what real fighting looks like? ’
