who cooks normally? Grace. Always Grace when it comes to cooking. Merle starts to boil water, forgets about it, and they end up with a pan with a hole burned in the bottom.

how often do they fight? Sometimes it can be every day, but then they have streaks where they never fight. They also sometimes have explosive fights, especially when Merle breaks out her anger.

what do they do when they’re away from each other? Probably work. As much as Grace gives Merle a hard time about it, Grace is a workaholic as well. Grace also enjoys sitting on the couch curled up in blankets watching TV, but not as often.

nicknames for each other? Sometimes maybe Merle will get so caught up in her head that she'll accidentally call Grace 'Jo' or 'Jolene' without realizing it. I think Grace will sometimes call Merle 'babe' or 'baby'.

who is more likely to pay for dinner? Either, both, going dutch. whoever gets to it first. Grace pays a lot, but that's because she remembers to bring home something to eat or Merle will just forget entirely to even eat at all.

who steals the covers at night? Grace. She pulls them over and curls up in them. Without meaning to, of course.

what would they get each other for gifts? Generally, alcohol.

who kissed who first? I can't remember if we decided, but I want to say Merle? She works up the courage to do it first, surprising Grace.

who made the first move? Grace. That text message ["I told some guy you were my girlfriend to get him to stop creeping on me. That okay?"] was her making the first move.

who remembers things? Merle, because she becomes hyper-aware of everything to do with a relationship because she doesn't know how it works and doesn't want to screw it up.

who started the relationship? They both mutually came to the conclusion that they should just stop beating the bush and just get together.

who cusses more? Pretty sure they both just swear like sailors. A competition would probably end in a draw, or possibly with Merle slightly ahead.

what would they do if the other one was hurt? Cling, hover, nurture, drink.

Alden requested something with my OC, Grace, interacting with either her father, ex-boyfriend Derek, or girlfriend (and Alden's OC) Merle.

"Good morning, sleepy."

Grace was woken up to the sound of a very familiar even-toned voice, as ambiguous in gender as its owner, and she let out a soft groan as the words worked through the tired haze in her mind. Light was pressing against her eyelids, reaffirming the fact that it was, in fact, daytime, and she squeezed her eyes shut and tried to pull the blankets over her head, but was stopped by a laugh that sounded much too awake at this hour. "It's too early to be awake," she mumbled, struggling weakly against Merle's hand pushing the blanket back down, eventually giving up and putting her hands over her face instead.

"It's almost noon," Merle laughed again, enough that there was a distinctly feminine pitch to it that nearly caused Grace to smile. She could imagine the smile on her face, the way her eyes creased in the corners when she laughed like that. But she forced her face to stay mildly disgruntled.

"Like I said." She moved two fingers aside so she could look through one squinted eye at the woman beside her, trying to look like she was glaring, though the illusion was ruined when she yawned. "Too early to be awake."

She heard Merle tsk, and the bed shifted as she sat up, taking the blankets with her. "I don't even know how you manage to get up at 7am on most days, but can't get out of bed before noon on your days off."

"Practice," she replied, finally letting her hands fall from her face and pouting out her lower lip. "Also, I make up for the lack of sleep on my days off. Stay in bed, get fifteen hours of sleep, spend the next week running on five hours a night." She looked up at Merle, past the tangled of curls and the crumpled button-up and the creases on her cheek from where she'd been laying on the sleeve of her shirt. "Similar to you, except you never seem to sleep more than six hours. How you manage that..." She shook her head.

Merle just shrugged and lay back down, tucking her arms behind her head and smiling over at Grace. "Practice."

Grace stared at her for a moment, then laughed. "You're a bitch," she said with a grin as she leaned over, resting her chin on the inside of Merle's arm, and pressed her lips against her jaw.

"I learn from the best." Merle turned her head and, with a hesitance Grace still hadn't yet managed to coax out of her entirely (and that Grace still found incredibly sweet), caught Grace in a brief kiss. "Now get up, we have things to do.

Grace opened her eyes, a smile on her lips, only to see an empty bed. Her own bed, back in her small apartment, cold and devoid of the usual warm body that lay beside her, and Grace remembered the fight they'd had three days ago. The way she had shouted and screamed, the angry things she had said, the understanding hurt in Merle's eyes as she yelled back. Merle knew Grace didn't mean half of what she said when she was angry, but that didn't make it alright to say. How could she hurt someone she loved so much?

"I really am a bitch," she said quietly as she rested her hand on the empty space beside her. Grace had grown accustomed to having Merle there that she made room for her even when she wasn't. It made her heart ache and her lip tremble, and she knew she should apologize, that it wasn't fair of her to fly off the handle like that...

But she couldn't seem to press the call button, couldn't get over her pride just yet, and ended up simply staring at Merle's contact photo until she could find a way to get out of bed.
