finally was able to replace my apple pencil and IMMEDIATELY wanted to color.

unfortunately, all of the apps Kinda SuckedTM

so big thanks to @green-with-envy-phandom-event for having the 2024 line arts available!

First up is @duchi-nesten line art! Yes, Vlad's mug says #1 Mom bc only Maddie was willing to loan him a mug. (Ft. Baby's first experience with LayersTM and trying to figure out how they work)

Second up is @maebird-melody lineart. This Nocturn was *delightful* to color. (Ft. Baby's first attempt with some of the more confusing brushes)

And lastly is lineart from @the-oaken-muse! I went with a human Dora coloring:) (and this is one is ft. Baby's first attempt at shading).

And that's a wrap for our audition! Everybody feels great about their teammates! Grace is embracing the weirdness with the comfort that it's probably all a dream anyway! I'm here to have a good time and get my niece out of here if it gets too scary! But everything is going to be fine this time! Right? Right! (Right?)

(BTW I feel I should clarify that the "I'll just die" "If you do I'll kill you" lines are just our family's brand of gallows humor and we mean it in jest and love!!! Because it might sound weird to people not familiar with that brand of joking. XD; )

so i woke up this morning super wanting to draw? (under cut because i’m posting this for myself but it’s awful so no one else should have to see it)

i’m gonna do it i’m gonna learn how to draw (she says in january, when everyone thinks they can do anything)

tbh i just want to do fanart and also be able to procrastinate writing in a whole new way! so anyway here goes nothing. i opened botw and tried to draw link in his fancy outfits but guess what! link is hard to draw!

(pls ignore the rest of his body. i made like 2 lines and gave up) tbh i’m only posting this bc i thought it was trash but then i flipped back to look at it and it was only like ¾ as bad as i thought it was. progress?

it’s dob! oh my god i’m drawing oxventure fanart. tbh this is the main reason i wanted to do this in the first place. so shoutout to outsidexbox and outsidextra because i’m now obsessed with them and their dnd adventures, and shoutout to bendix because her character designs are so good they made me love these characters even more (her oxventure designs are on her website here)

okay confession time: i now have an unreasonable amount of emotions about a 1999 Dutch pop song. so here is the rough draft of the last panel of something i really super want to draw but don’t actually have the skills to draw. feat. lyrics from Vengaboys’ “We Like to Party!” bc of course.

will i actually keep this up? will i just forget about it and never pick up a pencil again? who knows! but am i actually proud of sitting down for a couple hours and doing something i really wanted to do? why, yes, i sort of am.
