Ok listen up Charles was forced/manipulated into a marriage with Grace, I'm pretty sure Cassie has confirmed that Grace used her love magic or whatever it is on him, so yes, he treated Matthew condescendingly and yes he was a bit cold with Alastair but HE DIDN'T MARRY HIMSELF TO A MINOR ON PURPOSE GRACE FORCED HIM INTO IT OR AT LEAST MANIPULATED HIM HES GAY WHY WOULD HE MARRY GRACE WHO HAS A LOWER SOCIAL STATUS AND WOULDN'T HELP HIM BECOME CONSUL GRACE IS THE REAL PERSON BEHIND THIS ALL. I think at least 50% of my beef with grace comes from the fact that her singing was so overhyped and then she was mediocre at best I was irrationally irritated by that. Like all that jazz about how it would stop bar fights? If I was boutta throw punches that would NOT have made a difference it ain't magic get over yourself smh
