Just some character vibes for the girl punk novel.✝️🥀🦑
How can I not share this scene though?
The crowd screams for Grace she saunters over to her brother, running a devious finger up his spine. Aster beams back at her as he screeches out the lyrics, challenging her with a riff.
They stand opposing each other, one-upping one another on their paired instruments, drawing howls of laughter and applause from the audience. Finally, Grace signals she’s had enough, playing along to match the lyrics.
But a straw man’s a fragile thing And there’s an easy way to lay him low
She lingers close by, her chin tucked against the crook of his neck and when her head turns, her eyes are pure white, made even more brilliant by the swath of red rimming her lids.
Aster’s expression is fond as he shakes his head at her. Grace releases him with a cheeky shove, right between the shoulder blades. He stumbles forward with the momentum.
…So strike a match …And watch …Him… BURN.
…And that’s when Aster Maddox goes up in flames.

Did... I forget to promote my monster girl? Because I.... have one. I talk so much about her while I’m writing off Tumblr, I... assume I’ve mentioned it here, when wow, I have not.
Anyway, my girl Grace Maddox is a monster! She has demons in her head! They all manifest in very different terrifying ways and sometimes they transform her into something spooky and gross and I love that for her!
This probably will come to no surprise but...... 🦑🦑🦑🦑🦑🦑
You already know all there is to know about Grace, but for everyone else...
Grace has three or four demons lying dormant in her head. Soon enough they won’t be so dormant at all...
She was the lead singer of the girl group, Tease Me Please, as a teen before being unceremoniously yanked from her contract by very suspicious means.
The first concert she ever attended was an Oasis show at The Hacienda in her hometown of Manchester.
Her signature look for her stage persona as member of her and her brother’s horror punk band, The Crossroad Burials is Harley Quinn black and white dual tone pigtails with a school girl uniform. (She does back bends in this look while playing the bass.)
She’s got a non-human form, and she may have to break all the bones in her body to fully achieve it.
She spent a year in a mental institution after setting fire to her brother on stage.

What is one of your character’s biggest fear? Who have they told this to? Who would they never tell this to? Why?
Aster is afraid of finding out what he really is. He knows there are things being kept from him about where he came from and what demons he’s got inside him. He’s been raised all his life to not ask about it because his father’s convinced him he’s a danger to himself and others if he ever embraced what he truly is. His sister, Grace’s body is host to multiple demons, so she’s incredibly unstable and liable to violent, unpredictable outbursts. If that’s what’s in him, he doesn’t want it to ever come out. So he’s constantly tightly in control of himself. He won’t talk about it with anyone, but certain Things are gonna force him to face the truth and... it’s not gonna go well for him.😈

She still has that viral video scarred on her brain like the fire that lit Aster up like tinder wood. He went up in flames and just kept playing, his body twisting languid across the stage as he screamed his way through the song. A great debate swelled across the punk rock fandom, wondering how much someone would have to hate their own brother to set him alight like that for all the world to see. Some people said Grace Maddox was crazy, others said it was nothing but a publicity stunt, a planned gag between them. Regardless, he came out no worse for wear, and she wound up in a mental institution for six months.
To this day, that moment goes down as one of the most shocking entries in recent rock history.
