Chandeliers at the Four Seasons - The Dazzling Wedding of Jennifer and Zane

Twenty months of planning, over 1850 emails, countless text messages, phone calls, tagged Instragrams, and one fabulous hashtag of #myweddingplannerisbetterthanyours later...I proudly present to you the wedding of Jennifer Hixson and Zane Weber.
Having been connected on social media for years, Jennifer reached out to me as soon as she became engaged on Christmas Day of 2014. When we met for coffee at Sambalatte a few days later Jenn was very clear about what she wanted; something sexy, something elegant, and nothing that anyone had ever seen before. Her one big ask was to create an upside down cake that swung from a chandelier. Well, why stop at one chandelier, I thought, when I can hang them almost anywhere?
And hang them I did! On the early evening of August 8, 2016, the drapes parted and Jenn stepped out between two beautiful Crystal chandeliers to take the arms of her boys, who escorted their mom down the aisle to her waiting groom, Zane.
Her personal vows started with, "I am a hopeless romantic. I believe in...." And she went on to list all of the things she wanted out of life and love. As a witness to their relationship for the last two years, I can tell you without question or cause that Zane lives up to every dream Jennifer has ever had, for herself and her sons. And with Jenn by his side, Zane has become the man he always wanted to be. Their relationship is one of complete and total respect. They are partners, friends, lovers, and playmates. They adore one another, work together to make a life worth living, they fight battles, slay dragons, and come out on the other side stronger for it.
After they shared their first kiss, I revealed their wedding reception to them before anyone else had a chance to see it. Zane was rendered speechless, and after a moment of wide-eyed shock, Jennifer cried.
That moment made every other moment of planning completely and utterly worth it. We hugged. We cried. And for the next five hours in a white on while ballroom lit from floor to ceiling with chandeliers, we laughed, sung, danced, and dined.
And in the end, my beautiful couple cut into a five tiered upside down wedding cake, which swung from a chandelier before leading guests out of the ballroom and poolside for an after party filled with chocolate, cigars, ice cream cones, and a taco truck. Too much fun!
This wedding is full of personal, custom details that you won't want to miss...The shoe shine station which catered to guests prior to the ceremony. The stunning magnolia bouquet with long ribbons that the bride carried down the aisle. Her two wedding dresses. The floor the ceiling draped in the ceremony, accented with an enormous mirror and flanked with candles. In the reception, we created seating nooks with large pieces of white furniture, and surrounded them with arcs of hanging chandleries. There was
bistro style seating at round tables, smoked glass vessels holding white on white flowers, crystal candelabras, and big, mirrored chargers with crystal surrounds.
One of my favorite items was something inspired by Jenn and Zane's love of dining out. I wanted to create a menu that guests would love and keep. Inspired by the large folded menu books found in classic steakhouses, I designed a folded piece that sparkled with the couple's famed chandelier on the front.
Inside, to the right, there was the menu carefully crafted by the team at The Four Seasons. On the left, there was a pocket which held a thank you note from the bride and groom to their guests. Each note as hand signed. More importantly, the pocket was cut perfectly to also house the printed images from that evening's photo booth. Functional, beautiful, and a keepsake all in one, this is one of my favorite paper pieces to date!
