it’s a silly trope that peter’s fave hero is iron man in the MCU but I do quite enjoy when people say its bruce… little Peter parker printing out big fancy science papers and studying all the words so he can try and understand them..: Peter being star struck at Bruce and him being like “oh yeah sorry hulk can’t come out rn” and Peter being like “oh no sir I meant I was glad to meet YOU really like, your papers on blah blah blah are so—“ and bruce obv is like wow ok yeah. fifteen year old understands my highly scientific theses on gamma radiation. sure. and Tony doesn’t get jealous bc he’s just as in awe of this kid and he’s pleased someone else can be in awe With Him. also he loves Bruce so it makes him happy when other people appreciate that little nerd

I guess this is something that might be Not That Deep but it’s been bugging me for a while so here’s my thoughts on the idea of Dog Lovers vs Cat Lovers, and the fact that cats are “feminine” animals while dogs are “masculine”.

Our culture is so stuck on binaries that cats and dogs are seen as opposite instead of separate, but similar species. Cats are feminine, dogs are masculine. A man who is a cat person might be seen as gay or ‘flamboyant’.

And then you have the fact that like. Cat people usually also love dogs, while dog people act like cats murdered their entire family in cold blood. It’s blasphemy to hate dogs, but hating cats is normal, and sometimes I wonder if that ties into the fact that cats are seen as the flip side of dogs, the more feminine side. 

Cats are animals that girls like. Cats are girly, they’re aloof and ‘confusing’ or bratty or catty, which... anyone who has owned a cat can tell you that they’re piles of affection and love, who, like any pet, can sometimes be obnoxious or make messes.

Obviously, if someone has a personal reason for disliking a species of pet, that’s gonna be a different story. Allergies & bad experiences can tie into that.

idk I just side-eye anyone who adores dogs but hates cats and is very vocal about it. They’re both lovely pets who we can share our lives with.
