your latest post has such a good point, bc the way dousy was set up we honestly didn't know if they would be canon until 7x09 aired. i still remember our dms spiraling and speculating for weeks before that ep. and we fell for them simply because of the actors chemistry and some small hints laid out by the writers

There was a lot of stuff to discuss and theorize with Dousy. Will they/Won't they? And it helps the writers were reacting real time to Chloe and Enver's chemistry and said they weren't set on making it happen, they were just open to the possibility if it worked. That allowed the actors the chance to grow a natural unforced chemistry since they weren't obligated to be love interests. And then after the characters got together there was a lot to discuss regarding their future relationship and missions, how they would be domestic, etc because even after seeing them get together it's still kinda wild and hard to imagine which makes it fun to speculate, especially with the whole time travel aspect of the relationship.

Meanwhile the writers were clearly puppeteering P*ggysous from the get-go which imo impacted their chemistry. They weren't given the room to develop that natural chemistry because they were set up as love interests from the pilot.

And there was such a lack of flavor between them that the writers had to invent obstacles to the relationship to justify dragging it out for two seasons. For example at the end of season 1 Sousa invited Peggy out to drinks. She turned him down. Why? It's never explained. But she turned him down despite liking him back and spent all of season 2 pining after him as he moved on with another woman... a situation she created, which once again WAS NEVER EXPLAINED. And what's funnier is that Sousa didn't even have some moment where he realized he loved Peggy more than Violet and broke off his engagement for her. No, Violet broke up with him because she believed he loved Peggy. (Which also didn't make much sense because she went from being madly in love to suddenly not invested enough in the relationship to fight for him? It took ONE SCENE for her to roll over and submit to Peggy. She decided Sousa loved Peggy because Peggy was stabbed by rebar and he was concerned about her... I mean??? Ladies my man was upset his coworker almost died, is he cheating on me?) If she hadn't of done that he probably would have married her. It was a convenient way to avoid making Peggy look like a homewrecker or Sousa look unfaithful. It was dumb. It was dumb he was engaged in the first place and it was dumber how it all ended.

Even people who liked Agent Carter agreed the romantic subplot in season 2 was contrived and almost ruined the season for them. The writers had to invent dumb drama to keep P*ggysous "entertaining" where Sousa and Daisy can just have a conversation and be interesting.

4. What were you doing 45 minutes ago? Working. Still working. Just taking a break by answering this. 

5. What’s your favorite candy bar? Twix? Or Snickers.

6. Have you ever been to a professional sports game? Yep. Used to be season ticket holders for my local soccer team.

7. What is the last thing you said out loud? Something about helping me put away the laundry to my brother, probably.

8. What is your favourite ice cream? Strawberry flavoured, Coffee flavoured from the grocery store brands. But from the local ice cream shops, I love their Salted Caramel, and this Honey Lavender flavoured ones.

9. What was the last thing you had to drink? Water

10. Do you like your wallet? I cycle through 2 wallets... One big/regular sized one, one small if I just wanna take a tiny bag... I like both of them.

11. What is the last thing you ate? A meatball sub.

12. Did you buy any new clothes last weekend? LOL I actually did. Bought a cardigan that was on sale for 50% off that I’ve been eyeing for the past year.

13. What’s the last sporting event you watched? Probably the Vancouver Canucks playoff run on TV last summer......

14. What is your favorite flavor of popcorn? Chicago Mix, and butter.

22. What color socks do you usually wear? I have a lot of different coloured socks. No specific colour.

24. What terrifies you? Superficially, bugs and all sorts of creepy crawlies.

39. Time you normally get up? During the pandemic, while working from home, weekdays at 9 AM. Pre-pandemic, I wake up at 6:30 AM. Weekends, naturally wake up at 7/8 AM, but go back to bed to sleep till 10 AM.

40. What do you prefer, sunrise or sunsets? Sunsets cause I would never wake up early enough to catch a sunrise (except one time when I was visiting Iceland, and we caught the sunrise at Reynisfjara).

41. How many blankets on your bed? One.

42. Describe your kitchen plates - off white coloured, with some floral pattern on the edge.

43. Describe your kitchen at the moment Lots of random kitchen gadgets I bought, and also littered with a lot of snacks. Otherwise clean and usable lmao.

44. Do you have a favorite alcoholic drink? Not really. I don’t really drink a lot of alcohol. There is a lychee-flavoured sake I do love, which I get when I see at the liquor store. So if I do have a fav alcoholic drink, it’d be something fruity.

45. Do you play cards? Against Humanity? Yes. JK. I mean, yes card games in general.

46. What color is your car? White.

47. Can you change a tire? Nope.

48. Your favorite state or province? British Columbia. The whole Pacific Northwest provinces/states are my fav in general. :P

49. Favorite job you’ve had? I like my job now. Good relationship within my team and my team lead/manager, got enough projects to do, etc.

I recently answered this here and I really don’t think there’s much else worth sharing, but I’m going to make An Attempt on the basis that this ask chain is wholesome. 🥺

Genuinely think I live in a haunted house. That sounds dumb, but some truly whack shit has happened in this house, things constantly vanish, someone died here once upon a time, and if there genuinely are ghosts or spirits or whatever in this house, they sure do have it out for me in particular.

I feel like I’m the opposite of most people on here? And I don’t mean that in that obnoxious ~I’m not like most girls~ way. I just see people mention all the time that they didn’t save something as a PSD and I literally save everything ever as a PSD and will sometimes even save multiple versions? (Photoshop is one of the most untrustworthy bitches. It doesn’t crash on me often, but when it does, it’s always when I’m not religiously saving something every couple of changes.)

This blog is just a few years old, but I’ve been on this hellsite for 10+ years, and while that has been... an experience, I genuinely value and cherish the friendships I’ve forged on here so much. My girlfriend and my absolute ride-or-dies are all people I met through Tumblr.

First thing on my post-COVID to-do list is to get a tattoo.

I’ve been playing The Witcher 3 and I just passed the iconic stuffed unicorn sex scene. I figure that’s deserving enough to have a place on this list.
