I love your headcannon post. I'll probably spend an inordinate amount of time today imagining Kurt and Sebastian relating their "first date" story, complete with dropped-sushi disaster.
I've been rereading (and listening to the podfic), and I'm starting to wonder whether Sebastian might have actually been interested in Kurt long before he approaches him at the Lima Bean with the fake-dating proposal. Like he's almost been pining after him for a couple of months, feigning disinterest. I think the shift in his attitude might not reflect a new interest, but rather a growing hope or realization that he might actually have a real chance with Kurt.
One of the questions I'm waiting for an answer on is: Where was Sebastian for his first couple years of high school? We know he was in France at some point, but for how long and WHY? Is it connected to the Julian-caused disillusionment? It's all very mysterious and delicious.
I'm also really looking forward to whenever Sebastian finds out about Kurt's NYADA money problems and makes the connection between that and the $10,000. How on earth are they going to figure out NY and the future. I have faith that they will, but I suspect there will be more than a little angst, miscommunication and drama along the way.

I'm personally not very much in favor of the theory of Sebastian having been attracted to Kurt before the proposal because I like the idea of his crush on Kurt sneaking up on him better - but I think that's a personal kink :). But for example when he made Kurt strip, he was very impatient, I don't think he was faking having no interest in seeing Kurt naked, he just had this plan in his head and Kurt wouldn't cooperate. But the moment he sees Kurt he shuts up. Because he likes what he sees and he hadn't expected that - because he hadn't thought about it before. At least that's my headcanon :).
I think Seb was at Dalton first... wait a sec, let me grab the pdf... AHA chapter 6! Seb says, about Blaine: “And by the time he was at Dalton I...well I wasn’t there anymore.”
So what I gather from this is that Sebastian started at Dalton and was there for freshman year. That year, or that summer, or early sophomore year happened whatever happened between him an Julian and he went to Paris until the end of his junior year. Blaine transferred into Dalton after Seb left -I'm guessing this was during his freshman year (Seb's sophomore) because he met Kurt sophomore year and he was captain of the Warblers then, that doesn't happen if you've just transferred in. And then before Seb came back senior year, Blaine transferred out to McKinley for HIS junior year.
That's how it makes most sense to me, but I might be wrong.
But omg I am SO looking forward to the money drama!! I hope there will be drama, at least. There's not nearly enough drama sometimes (I live on angst. you'll learn that about me ;).)
