omg so @sscrambledmeggss sent me an ask wondering what my top 5 acitw scenes are and when I went to try to answer it I somehow. deleted it I guess??? but it was real I swear so thank you for the ask and here is my answer (I have skimmed through most of the fic again to be able to properly answer this question lol):

5) The scene where Sebastian shows up at Kurt's in the middle of the night because Julian is coming over, but then Kurt wakes up later to find Sebastian going through his phone and Sebastian tells him that Blaine's an idiot. I just love seeing Sebastian be so seriously insistent in telling Kurt that he didn't deserve to be treated like that.

4) Sebastian coming in through the window, drunk and glittering. Because nobody at the bar was Kurt!! Staying away didn't work!!! Sebastian's drunk ramblings and Kurt trying to take care of him oh my god-

3) The game of truth or dare when Kurt is whispering in Sebastian's ear which eventually turns into them going upstairs and Kurt is so ready to have sex but Sebastian is insistent that they don't, which is clearly so hard for him - oh my god. I just really love it when Sebastian is the one wanting to take things slow and do things "right" you know?? It's so so good.

2) The night out at the gay bar. The whole thing is great, but especially the scene when Kurt is in the bathroom with Maxwell, and Sebastian comes in and responds to Max's question to Kurt with "I call him mine." It's just - brilliant incredible showstopping never been done before. I just reread the scene and the events that follow it and woooo is it h-o-t in here or what?

1) The fourth of July bathroom scene where Kurt is crying and Sebastian just. hugs him and holds him and says that it kinda kills him to see Kurt crying. Fucking ouch that scene is absolute gold and is so so special to me personally ahhhh

ngl I kind of wish that Shane and Ilya had been portrayed as actual athletic rivals more. there was never enough ‘that guy sucks and everything he does makes me want to punch his face in including when we’re fucking’ for me. baited by the title promising rivals to lovers when it was really just cordial acquaintances to lovers. fake rivals-to-lovers á la fake dating as a trope. like they were more mean to SCOTT than to each other. is the rivalry in the room with us?

I should reread ACITW or AYSCM I guess
