Intuitively I channeled that your art is an extension of yourself. What’s within you wants to flow out through your art and the universe is overjoyed at you are using this opportunity to share the beautiful unique parts of yourself with the world. We all come here with unique pieces we add to the puzzle of life and this is part of your soul’s desire for this lifetime, to be able to serve the planet simply by being you and sharing this part of yourself.
Protect your heart by allowing your art to first and foremost remain something that is fun and rewarding for you. Everything else after that is a bonus. It’s like planting a garden and watching it fill up with every kind of flower and it looks and smells gorgeous. Even if you want to make money from those flowers, remember that before anything else, you get to go out and enjoy them for the pure sake of enjoying them. Your gifts are for yourself too, not just the rest of the world! It’s a gift to you.
From that place of enjoying your gifts and finding joy in their creation, you’ll continue on your journey as an artist to find even more things you enjoy or different ways to enjoy what you’re already doing. You have so many opportunities in front of you and it’s just a matter of following wherever your heart wants to go. It’s like you had a Pisces north node in a previous life and part of expressing the ascension you accomplished back then is to have so much tangible joy in creating art in this lifetime in a way that lets you savor the process and result.
If you aren’t feeling the joy so much right now, give yourself time to do some heart healing so you can get to that place. It’s ok to focus inward for a while if you need to.
It appears an opportunity might be coming (or is already here) in which you feel the need to profit from you art to fund something in particular. This need might be 100% valid but focusing on it will create artificial pressure to see results that might outpace what you’re able to sell. Give yourself grace if art sales don’t keep up with a particular goal, at least for right now. Your art journey is much bigger than just one particular financial goal or situation.
You might find yourself feeling like it’s you against the rest of the world when it comes to finding opportunities to sell your art. It could feel isolating doing it alone, so find a way to do it in which you surround yourself with a community. Whether that’s on social media or in person somewhere or both, find connections with others who will help you accomplish this goal together. For example, people who will like your posts online and reblog or leave positive comments, or folks who will help make introductions to other people who can help. Seek out that community and you’ll find opportunities to flip frustrating energies on their head.
The answers you want will come as you put yourself out there in this place of community, just don’t be too shy or inversely too focused on rushing ahead to accomplish your goal. Find the right balance where you feel comfortable being yourself as a person and can enjoy the relationships that form as well as drive your passion as a paid artist forward.
