“Of course I do. You must understand that my responsibilities only increased since taking up the mantle of being the champion along with being a coordinator. I try my best to make time to hang out with you but unexpected things happen and I have to rework my schedule. I do apologize for those times.”
She opened her mouth, only to close it shortly after. Because Wallace was right. He was balancing between being a Coordinator and a Champion... That was a task that required a lot of attention, it was no wonder he was busy a lot. And yes, they had promised to meet up, but she could not blame him if things came in between. Taking in a deep breath, she turned to look to the side for a second, arms folded over her chest. A long silence and finally she nodded. "I... Understand."

"Wait... If Wallace is gay for Steven but Steven has something with Maxie, then... Oh. That's a bit..."

A busy morning, more than she expected. She got up early to take a flight around Route 120, and everything seemed to be quiet and immersed in the usual calm which bathed Fortree's surroundings after a whole night raining. Nothing out of normality, at least until she flew back to the city and saw from the sky a group of nurses leaving the Pokémon center towards Route 119. Apparently something had happened, and she cursed internally not having overflown that route this morning.
"No, wait, Altaria. Let's go with them." Winona prevented the Pokémon to land in Fortree when she was already near one of the wood platforms. The dragon nodded, as she as well had noticed the nurses leaving the city. Softly gliding with the wings extended, Altaria sneaked between the trees and finally descended near the women.
It took a little conversation for her to understand the situation. Apparently one of them had found some hurt Pokémon near the little waterfall in the highest stretch of the river, so they were rushing to see what happened. Still, none of them knew if they were attacked and seriously damaged by it or it was just by the storm. Even if it would be a bit strange for a Pokémon in that route to get harmed by lightening, some tree ranches could have fallen if the wind was too strong.
As soon as Winona had thanked the nurses, Altaria soared and quickly headed to the bridge near the Weather Institute, where those Pokémon had been hurt. Even before reaching it, she could already see Joy holding some potions, berries and all sort of medical equipment, yet there was another person there, a man already helping her.
Winona and Altaria quickly landed near them, and the Leader hopped from her Pokémon to bend down next to that trainer. "Ah, thank you for helping them. Do you know what happened?" She asked, greeting then the nurse with a smile and taking one of the potions. Some Magikarps, Tentacools and even a Feebas, strange Pokémon to find there, were lying on the bridge or floating near some rocks, a couple of them apparently stuck.

"----Well hey there, pretty boy. Don't get to see you often with Drake in the way."
"---Anyone seen Wallace around?"
Normally, Steven would have a few dozen texts on his PokeNav from his best friend telling him to---quite literally---get his head out of the dirt.
But lately, Steven's Nav was... quiet. And this was pretty disconcerting.
