Hey winona you heard about dat megaton thing from Steven he said there's even one for my magnetric! You excited?
You mean the Mega Evolution, Wattson? I have heard of it indeed. I and Taria have been working hard to see how well it would suit us. Because I have heard there is also a form for my Altaria.
Leaked close-up shots/full body shots of the other Gym Leaders and Elite Four: Winona, Tate and Liza, Wallace, Glacia, and Drake.
Itâs clear that Wallace returns as a Gym Leader in this game.
I wanted to draw this for a while but kept forgetting :c mega altaria was everything I could have ever hoped forâ altaria with more fluff

gracefulxskydancer replied to your post:"So wait⊠How many people were born in ViridianâŠ
I believe a young man called Silver is born there tooâŠ
"Really? Iâve never met him. That makes four⊠Wait five. I forgot to add my Mother. Anyone else I should know about?"
"I've heard of him through a lot of stuff. And I do not think I know more people.."
Her offer had taken root in the back of his mind, and it made a small flare of excitement kindle within him. Among the people he considered his friends, there were admittedly few which could tolerate his excited ramblings for more than a few minutes. However, there was a much more âpressingâ matter at hand.
Hands clapped together once before fingers locked around each palm when the Gym Leader responded positively. "Right! Thank you! I hope you wonât be disappointed with what I have to show."
Reaching into one of his pockets, he delicately brushed his fingertips across one, two, three - that was it - pokeballs before withdrawing the proper one. It was as plain as possible, merely a pokeball compared to the other more specialized types within his pocket. The unique pattern on each surface had been enough for him to distinguish which pokemon he would be taking.
Steel blue irises glanced away from Winona where she waited to look at the somewhat transparent object in hand, into the eyes of the pokemon awaiting within.
"Are you ready, Sarai?" the former Champion asked quietly, receiving an eager nod in response from the creature within. "Right, then."
Steven expanded the ball in his palm, craning his arm upward briefly before the object popped open. White light poured forward into the center of the room, landing against the floor in a flare before taking shape of the pokemon. In a burst of the light, his Archeops became fully visible. The First Bird Pokemon let out a happy screech before looking between Steven and Winona. The claws on her wings curled eagerly into the floor as she wiggled where seated, staring intently at the Gym Leader.
"Winona, this is Sarai - she is an Archeops, the evolved form of one of Unovaâs two fossilized pokemon. On my journey there, I found both fossils, but only had this one revived. From there, Iâve trained her moderately. Sheâs easily excitable, as you can probably see, but I think sheâs also able to sense your affinity for part of her type. She is a Rock-type as well as Flying.
She could see the little flame of excitement she had kindled within him and it caused a gentle smile to curl around her lips. For friends, one would make time, wouldn't they? Whereas she would be keen to not be too long-winded with people she knew, it was a different story if they were friends. She'd make all the time for them.
"No need to thank me." she laughed, putting up a hand before tilting her head curiously, keeping her eyes fixed on the other and turning the mug a bit. Two cup of teas. They were still a bit hot, however. So this little show would come first.
Her hand rose, tucking a lock of violet hair behind her ear as she watched Steven, peering over at the Pokéball with a curious glint in her eyes. Her fingers found her sleeves, lightly plucking at a loose string. And then there was a red light that filled the room as the other released the Pokémon within the ball.
And Winona could not help but gasp, raising both hands to her mouth and staring at the Pokémon before her.
For she was beautiful. Very beautiful. And she was ancient, yet young.
"Archeops..." she breathed. The First Bird, often the colourful Pokémon was called. Her lips curving up, she moved forward, reaching out a hand before slowly moving it over the Archeops' beak, reaching out her other hand to scratch under her beak. "Oh look at you." she spoke in a soft voice. "Such a beautiful bird you are." she hummed, eyes glistening up before she looked at Steven and nodded once. "I've read up about this species! They've always fascinated me. But I never would have thought to see one standing before me." she laughed softly, looking back.
"Sarai. You have a beautiful name to fit with a magnificent appearance." she complimented, gently stroking over the Pokémon's head before moving them down to touch the wings, peeking at the second set of wings. "Heavens, this is... This is certainly a treat for me, Steven!"
The tiny trainer happily grinned from ear to ear at the compliment, her face remaining flushed. The two in front of her were so lovely and nice, Takako was completely taken by the them. âT-thank you very much for thinking so!â Takako smiled out of happiness, bowing toward the bothof them. Silently she hoped that she could be as graceful as the pair one day. The small girl looked up at the tree house and shifted awkwardly. Heights werenât her strongest suit, so maybe she needed some help?
At Winonaâs offer to have Taria carry her on her back, Takako lightly gasped. She ride on Taria? The small girl had always wanted to ride on an Altaria, the creatures were so beautiful. It was at this moment that she heard something drop out of her bag and noticed a quick ball on the ground. Her face went pale as she watched light appear and a rather larger bird pokemon appear from the light.
A Braviary appeared, he stretching out his wings before his eyes open to look around at his surrounding. He spotted Taka and was about to let out a squawk toward her but something else caught his eye. The Altaria beside his trainer. The creature scooted back a bit, which made Taka a little confused as to what was going on with her normally rambunctious pokemon.
She jumped slightly, looking back to the gym leader and her Altaria, noticing that she hadnât introduced her pokemon. âA-ah Iâm sorry, I-I am being rude! W-winona, Taria, t-this is Alfred, m-my Braviary.âThe creature now awkwardly bowed toward the other two. The tiny trainer was thoroughly confused at his actions. Normally he would have squawked loudly at Takako and then turned away. Well now that Alfred was out.
" Alfred can take me up to the treehouse." Takako smiled, holding her arms out. Instead of grabbing her by the shoulders like her normally did, the creature bowed his head and spread his wings out. What was going on with him? Takako slowly got onto his back. "O-Okay weâll meet you up there!" she spoke toward the female. Takako pointed up toward the tree house and he began to flap his wings up, the two floating up toward the tree house. Takako got off and looked at the bird pokemon with squinted eyes.
"W-whatâs going on with you?" she asked. To this, the pokemon gave a squawk and inched toward the edge of the wood bridge to look back at the gym leader and her Altaria.Â
Winona watched her carefully as the offer was spoken, lightly folding her arms over her chest and letting a smile bloom on her face. She had looked so happy to see the Altaria before her, and the attention the bird had given her. That perhaps she would have liked a ride on her too. Winona knew Taria would not mind it at all. As a matter of fact, she would love it. Carry the little girl up to the sky, then to her house. But in the end, it was all up to Takako whether she accepted or not.
And that was when the quick ball had fallen near them. "Oh?" she uttered, moving to pick it up, only to have the ball release the Pokémon that was inside. And oh, she could not help but suck in a sharp breath. For the bird that stood before her was beautiful. Elegant, yet fierce. Truly a sight behold. A sight she did not mind either. "Why hello there, handsome." she spoke softly toward the Braviary as Taria blinked once.
And finally let out a happy chime toward the Braviary, flapping her wings in an excited manner, overjoyed to meet more new friends. She stretched her long neck, curiously watched the Braviary before closing her eyes with another happy chime and dipping her head down in greeting.
Winona blinked, looking from Takako to the Braviary. The girl had looked surprised at her Pokémon's action. She assumed that usually he was not like this. Then her eyes fell on Taria, who was humming happily. An old lullaby from their younger years. "Alfred." stated Winona finally, shooting the Braviary a bright smile. "It is a pleasure to meet you. And so says Taria." stated the Gym Leader, placing a hand to the Altaria's back, who gave a chime of agreement.
"That sounds good to me too, Takako." she stated with a light nod, watching the interaction with a somewhat amused look on her face. Apparently, Takako was not used to her Braviary acting the way he did right now. Turning her head, violet hues found the blue ones of Taria, who blinked wisely before one eyelid dropped closed and opened again. It caused her to laugh before she climbed onto the Altaria and allowed her to rise up to the sky, following after the Braviary.
Taria let out a happy chitter before landing on the wooden bridge and allowing Winona to slide off, gesturing toward her house with a bright smile curling around her lips. "Come along!"
In the end, the former Champion was glad he could make the Gym Leader laugh. Albeit due to his own mishaps while adventuring, he found himself with a satisfied smile upon his face hearing the young womanâs amusement so clearly. He found no need to comment, instead allowing steel blue irises to drift in her direction with a distinctly pleased light in them.
However, the poke of his cheek was something he could easily say he was not expecting. "EugheheâŠ"
He managed to make a sound weakly in mild embarrassment. "Old habits die hard Miss - ehâŠ" Case and point there, if nothing else. He half-expected her to poke him again. "âŠWinona." It almost felt foreign to his tongue to say her name without prefacing it with a âMissâ.
The embarrassment passed as he watched the two pokemon come closer together, and his expression quickly shifted to one of clear surprise at the interaction between the two. He didnât even need to glance at Winona for her thoughts on it, before raising a hand to tap his chin thoughtfully. "Although it is most prevalent in other types of pokemon to have the first-sight âimprintingâ as it were, I do know it cannot be limited to simply them. I believe weâre seeing a prime example of inter-species imprinting now. This is quite interesting, actually."
She warningly rose a finger, both eyebrows raising when she heard the word 'miss' slip from his lips once more. Only to give a bright smile, chuckling softly when he corrected himself. Of course, it was understandable. But they had known each other for so long already, she felt no need to address one another in such a formal way. And perhaps it would take a bit of time for him to get used to just calling her Winona, but she did not mind that.
She'd just poke his cheek every time he slipped to calling her 'miss Winona' instead of just 'Winona'.
A gentle smile curled around her lips once more as she rested her chin to the palm of her hand, watching the interaction between the two Pokémon. It was funny, because she knew Willow was... Well, Willow was Willow. She could be kind. But mostly she was very serious.
"Mmm... This is interesting indeed... I wonder how Willow will deal with it, however. I've only ever had bird Pokémon around... I mean, there are the other critters too, but mostly a lot of birds." she pondered, watching the green Swellow hop from one spot to another, stretch out her neck to look at the Durant. Before finally she flew out of the window. Leaving the Durant to make small noises and move around, clicking her mandibles. And not much sooner did the Swellow return, within her beak she had leaves and such, which she dropped before the Durant.
"Smart, Willow!"
