tag game yay! Thanks @bi-ologie for the tag!
Last song I listwned to - Buffalo Replaced by Mitski. Not even giving the day a chance🙏🙏. It's currently on repeat as I type this.
Fav color - green and brown! You can tell from my blog and my website and my everything lol. Honorable mention for indigo blue.
Currently watching - nothing new atm! Rewatching some of the X-Files as usual, and some of The Boys. Also Malcom in the Middle. Im always rewatching and very rarely first-time watching lol. Oh and Murderbot! I watched that for the first time a few weeks ago, and now that I know it's safe and not stressful sometimes I just put it on in the background.
Currently readinf - Murderbot Diaries! I’m on Network Effect. Finals kinda stopped me so I might have to re-read the first half before I continue cause it’s been like a week and a half. Also just put Carrie on hold so that’s next. Next-next after Carrie is probably some stuff on natural dye cause I want to work on that this summer.
Current obsession - Textiles as usual, and restoring my new loom. I have to get working on improving my handspinning soon too.
Working on - Lol so much. Working on 2 knit cashmere/silk scarves, a life-sized grey fox plush/soft sculpture, a knit wool scarf, a blue mind control art quilt, a couple of local custom plush, and a zillion kitty/puppy/mouse plush for upcoming markets.
Also I have to start working on a tunic out of yardage i dyed and wove myself, and a second harvest bag. Is there anything else..?
Oh, restoring my new loom. It just needs the cloth aprons and apron rods before it's functional, then later in the summer I'll make 2 new harnesses to replace it's missing ones.
Last search - Lol, "bioplastic no cornstarch". Trying to figure out how to start experimenting in making bioplastic for a possible soft sculpture.

just took my lil baby herringbone scarf off the loom, its a little guy just like 7x25ish inches. Hanging to dry after wet finishing rn, i think next i want to make some little bags/pouches as a sort of proof of concept, i think it would be nice to make some cotton totes for people as gifts. Just want to kind of mess around with epi and beat strength and gauge how long it will take to weave before i warp up a proper one.
recent shenanigans.. nothing much of value but happy to be working on stuff regardless! In order:
Houndstooth wool sampling - was gonna make a scarf but got distracted and didn't get around to it
Cowl scarf - turned out mediocre, made for my mom but she didn't want it so i still have it. Might seam rip where i had sewn it and make it into something else IDK.
Silk and cotton test weaves - love the sett and fibers, hate the colors lol. Gonna do some more tests using two more brown cottons in place of the blue cotton and blue alpaca in these samples.
Herringbone scarf - made for a friend of my mom's who has been having some really hard times lately. She always comments on my instagram posts saying she loves my weaving so i tried to make something nice for her. I will probably also do a set of coasters and possibly a silk scarf for her if I have enough silk leftover after I make the other silk scarf in my plans. Hopefully she likes it even though i do not, lol.
I have to have a minimum of three projects happening at once because if i dont then i might have Thoughts. And that would be bad
Just washed the opossum plush that i sleep with every night… girl omg she was SO dirty. She is currently on the clothesline to dry and looks soooo much cleaner
spinning with moisturized hands: how wonderful, my soft hands are not getting splinters from my spindle, and my fiber is not catching on my fingertips😇😇😇
