Here's the finished skeins to compare. Despite them both having a grey wool with sari silk, they are quite different spins! They're all around 140/150yds dk weight chainply, but the Corriedale in the blue skeins make them a lot bouncier than the Shetland wool in the colourful skeins. They're both quite plump, I like how they turned out.

finally finished building the loom.

i'm pretty sure the design i'm using is some kind of frankenstein of a table loom and a rigid heddle loom. it has two shafts, both of which have rigid heddles, with one being able to raise the "even" warp strings and the other being able to raise the "odd" warp strings (and neither being able to lower any warp strings). the two shafts can be raised/lowered independently of each other, but a shed only forms if you raise one and lower the other, so there isn't much point to raising our lowering both at once.

you can only do a 6" wide plain weave with it, which is just fine for what i have in mind (a red and black plaid scarf)

but man... that eight shaft 11" 3d printed loom is calling to me like the green goblin mask...

i must not start a new project.

starting a new project is the current project killer.
