So, whether or not the trend of ombre lips will return, or you’re just looking for a fun way to spice up your make-up look, an ombre lip is always a fun statement to pull off. Here’s a simple tutorial to help you out. Step 1: The basics Exfoliate & moisturise. It’s really just that straightforward. (oh and remember to wipe off the excess!) Step 2: Blank canvas Using your beauty sponge or make-up brush, dab the excess foundation around your lips to create a blank canvas to work with. Step 3: Line those lips You’re going to want to sharpen your lip liner first for more precision. Next, line your lips with a dark shade & fill in the sides of your lips. You can fill in those sides as much or as little as you’d like. This will determine the contrast you want to achieve. Step 4: Ombre & blend This is where the magic happens. Apply a slightly lighter colour of choice & fill in the empty spaces that haven’t been filled. Next, blend the shades together by pressing your lips together a few times. Step 5: Make it flawless To ensure a flawless finish, go back in with the lip liner to blend in any areas that require it.
