The Heir to Murder, She Wrote
What I think I would really like is a book series - NOT A SHOW OR MOVIE - about Grady, Jessica Fletcher’s nephew. I would love the premise to be him returning to Cabot Cove to attend to Jessica’s affairs after her passing. He would end up solving mysteries, not because of his own deductions, but from reading all of Jessica’s books and notes and remembering what they said because he loves and misses her.
This would be a good series to slip David Tolliver back into, considering how young he was when he met Jessica.
I want it to be a book series not only for the time that’s passed and the cast having aged or died, but because I could never bring myself to watch anything MSW related without Angela Lansbury. It would be sacrilege.
The idea of Grady learning these things from Jessica when she’s passed keeps her there at all times the way she’s supposed to be and it just feels so in character for his goofy ass to know little on his own but knowing more because of his devotion to Jess.
Various Characters On Your Birthday
Well, it’s my birthday. Decided I’d do this to fill up some time. Enjoy and happy birthday to anyone else who’s got the same one! ❤️❤️❤️

Your birthday is gonna start with a grumble of “Happy birthday.” and a sweet kiss.
He elects to take you out for breakfast and then to go shopping and spend time together.
He doesn’t take any appointments or anything. It’s your day and he wants to be there for you.
Literally anything you want or want to do today will be done. He loves to spoil you and you’re worth the price. You put up with him, love him, and help him through his rough moments, all while living in perpetual danger. He thinks it’s the least he could do.
He smiles a lot more on your birthday. Not the usual malicious smile either, it’s a genuine, content, and sweet smile.
To be completely honest, your birthday has gotta be one of his favorite days of the year and he looks forward to it every time.
Naki
Naki literally plans all week.
He tries to do breakfast in bed for you but he burns the toast…and the eggs are somehow undercooked and overcooked at the same time. It’s just kind of bad. But he didn’t set a fire this time! Just try to eat it and tell him thank you.
He gets you a new outfit for your special day. I can see him being a man who appreciates a good cupcake style dress man. If that’s not your thing then he’ll either try to find one closer to your tastes or find a new outfit entirely.
Gods he’s so excited! He spends the day taking you places you like and giving you gifts.
When you get home, there’s a cake waiting with “Happy Birthday!” and a well prepared dinner. He’s particularly proud of the fact that it’s your favorite.
He gives you one final big gift before whisking you away to your shared bedroom. What happens from there on out is up to you. Want to do something “fun”? Sounds great! Want to cuddle and wind down? Perfect! He just wants to spend time with you. Either way, the night ends with an “I love you” and another “Happy Birthday”.

Grady
He loves birthdays, especially yours! He does get a bit stressed though.
He can’t always get off of work for your birthday but he’ll 100% make it up to you and celebrate on a different day if need be.
Thankfully, his Aunt Jess will help him out! She’s great at gift giving and will help him get something meaningful and useful.
A lot of your birthdays are celebrated with both Grady and Jessica. Sometimes you can’t tell who’s more excited about your birthday when it comes to those two.
Homemade cakes are what he’s all about! You’ll probably go out to dinner or lunch but the cake will be something he made. You can really taste the love.
There’s a lot of cuddling and general holding. Grady loves you so much and he’s a romantic at heart so this is favorite way to say happy birthday.

Homelander
Everything he does is a Vought affair so naturally, your birthday is included in this. That is if you’re public about the relationship.
He'll try to spend as much time as possible with you but Vought tends to use your birthday as publicity, marketing, and for things like appearances.
Thankfully, he finds a way to maneuver around the schedule that's set for the two of you. This is when he whisks you away so that y'all can settle down for the night.
This ends with y'all on the rooftop of the tower in a sort of 16 Candles situation where the both of you are leaning over a cupcake with a candle in it as he sings happy birthday.
If your relationship isn't public, it'll be a lot more intimate, mainly just the both of you spending time alone together.
There are a lot of gifts. Like he doesn't hold back whatsoever. This goes for both scenarios.
Black Noir
He was a little lost about what to do for your birthday until he got some help from his “friends”.
Unlike Homelander, Black Noir doesn't have to worry about Vought functions taking over your birthday.
You two get to spend as much time with each as you want. If you want to stay home then you'll stay home, if you want to go out then you'll go out. It's all up to you on your day!
All of the gifts he gets you are really personal and are just what you'd want, his friends made sure of it.
He doesn't really speak so expect a handmade card with a heartfelt note inside.
As for cake, he'd like it if you could bake one together but if you want to buy one then he'll find the best place in the area to have it made.

Well, @shitty-conspiracies-i-invented , if you insist
It seemed surreal, Grady thought as little Frankie, to Grady he would always be little Frankie no matter that he was in his 30’s now, drove the car through the center of Cabot Cove. Through the closed window Grady could smell the docks with its combination of salt water and fish. It felt like nothing and everything had changed.
It had been a decade since Grady last came to Cabot Cove, since Seth Hazelett’s funeral. Though his Aunt Jess came to visit after that, it felt odd to visit the town itself. So much of the energy of the town seemed bound up in his Aunt Jess and her friendship with Seth. After his death, something felt like it was missing.

Murder in Season (2020)
Christmas has come to Cabot Cove, but a peaceful holiday season is not in the cards after Jessica Fletcher is pulled into a centuries-old mystery in the latest entry in this USA Today bestselling series. With work on the reconstruction of her beloved home almost complete, Jessica Fletcher is in high holiday spirits, spearheading the annual Christmas parade and preparing for her nephew Grady and his family to come to town. The only thing dampening the holiday cheer is the discovery of two sets of bones on Jessica’s property: one set ancient, the other only about a year old. It’s concluded that they were both placed there during the reconstruction, and Jessica suspects that, despite the centuries between them, the remains might be connected. Soon tabloid reporter Tad Hollenbeck arrives in Cabot Cove to write a story about what he calls “the murder capital of the country.” But when Tad himself is murdered, Jessica speculates that his arrival, his death, and the discovery of the bones are all somehow linked. As Jessica digs deeper to find the connection between the bones and Tad’s murder, everything seems to come back to a mystery that has long plagued Cabot Cove. If she wants to solve the case, she’ll need to delve into her beloved town’s dark history, or else this holiday season may be her last….

He finds it somewhat funny since he’s got a lot of money but he really appreciates it.
Everytime you get him something or even just take the time to acknowledge somethings he’s interested in, it reaffirms y’all’s relationship.
He loves really personal gifts from you or, on the rare occasion he lets you, when you get him coffee or a pastry when y’all are out.
He’ll try to make sure that you don’t spend too much, if anything, because he doesn’t want you to spend it all.
Definitely expect him to gift you things in return. They’ll either be of equal value or they’ll be absolutely extravagant!
Naki
He’s a flustered mess!
He loves everything you give him. If it’s clothes, jewelry, etc, he will wear it all constantly. Probably won’t go together but he doesn’t care.
I can see him quietly being a keychain guy. Get him a funky keychain and he’s yours forever.
He’ll try and get you gifts as well. He goes to Yamori and asks him for advice on it. Yamori gives him some good advice but Naki usually ends up making a really heartfelt card for you with some little trinkets that he thought you’d like or that remind him of you.
Sometimes it makes him feel bad that he can’t do as well with gift giving as you but with some gentle words and affection, he’ll be just fine.

This poor man. He was not ready for you to be as generous as you are.
It’s a little overwhelming for him but he will admit that he’s flattered and pretty happy about it.
He’ll return the favor with flowers, dinner, dates, and anything else he’d think you’d like.
He loves knowing that he’s got someone at home who cares so much.
He’s definitely got little knickknacks from you on his desk.
