Some well-worn Alberta grain hopper cars sitting at Viking, Alberta, alongside a pile of spikes and a pile of tie plates from a removed section of track, 06/30/2024.
A long line of grain hoppers near Antelope, Saskatchewan in May 2020. This train, consisting of 224 total hopper cars, is the longest single-origin grain train ever moved across the Prairies by the Canadian Pacific Railway. It was over 13000ft long and carried more than 22000 tonnes of durum, all from a single elevator operated by South West Terminal (SWT). Photo courtesy of SWT via SwiftCurrentOnline
