Grammatical Errors In Tamagotchi On Programming

The Tamagotchi On is merely the Tamagotchi Meets regionalized for the English speaking markets of the United States and Canada. The device needed to be completely translated into English from Japanese. With that comes the possibility of errors, and some fans have identified some minor errors.

In the image above you can see that the word “alway”  should be plural in the sentence. This isn’t something major by any means but it does appear every so often. There’s also another scenario where this happens too, and the word “garbage” is spelt “garbarge”.

So what’s up with these grammatical errors? Well as we mentioned earlier this device was completely translated from Japanese to English and there are thousands of words that required translation. This definitely leaves room for error. It’s also important to note that the translation of the device and the manual were both handled by the Bandai team over in Japan! We reached out to Bandai America recently about the manual and they informed us that it too in fact was translated in Japan.

So why weren’t translations completed in Bandai America’s HQ in California? Well Bandai America informed us that projects like these can be handled by the Japan team, which is also were the device was originally developed. Have you experienced any grammatical issues on your Tamagotchi On?

I was pleasantly surprised when I walked into @pubrocklive and saw that @hazenofficial was opening this show and the absolutely killed it. (No video, sorry) Seriously guys go check them out, you'll love it. Lots of neon paint and crowd interaction from @kneehighfox to the point that their vocalist was escorting people from the bar to the stage, colorful and very entertaining. And of course the mighty @officialpowerman5000 whether it's on a festival stage to a couple thousand people or in a small bar to maybe a hundred they put on an incredible show with a sound quality that my videos can not do justice.
