I finished painting him last night... and I’m really pleased with how his paint came out. The resin is really very lovely, super smooth and luminous. His wig is too big and it was absolutely hideous, so I chopped it to make it more tolerable til I find a new one. The eyes I ordered with him are too light and too orange, so he’s temporarily wearing eyes that had been too small for Howl or Pompeii. They’re okay, but I think I might try to make some nice eyes for him that are a tiny bit larger in the iris and have a less brilliantly white sclera. I think the brightness and opacity is a bit unnatural for how soft the rest is. I might try making a wig, but more likely I’ll just keep searching or commission someone. >_< He’s a very difficult guy. The eventual plan is to blush and detail the whole body to the same realism as the head (I painted skin texture!) and give him some beautiful tattoos, but I just wanted to get him painted since he’s been in his box since January when he arrived. He doesn’t have a name or a story yet. @housegoth.curiosities says he’s name is Fernando and he’s a chef-assassin with the code name of Blade. This... is not accurate.
