Dhun’galil watched closely as the soldiers brought in his new test subjects, Skaven who were enslaved by their own kind, twelve in all, not much room for error. They squirmed and hissed at the bright lights hanging from the ceiling but didn’t resist the enforcers which towered above them. Dhun’galil studied them intently. They were lithe creatures of a malevolent persuasion but possessed incredible constitution, making them the perfect subjects for his experimentation.
He strode past the captive audience to a series of cells lining the walls of the holding area and began assigning them numbers one through eleven as they were placed in their new permanent residences’. He stopped at the twelfth and final skaven, an sniveling wretch whose eyes were fixed upon the ominous figure before him.
“You are to forget your former name! what you once were is no more” Dhun’galil commanded as he gazed upon the thing with indifference. “Your new name is Control, and your new purpose is to serve as my control group. The accuracy of my experiments depends upon you being an accurate representation of your race, and as such you are the most likely to survive the entire process. So now I shall give you a choice. Either serve me as a laboratory assistant, or live for the rest of your life in a cage!” Dhun’galil declared, pointing to the final unoccupied holding cell.
Control squirmed nervously at the ultimatum presented before him “What does the colorless man plan to do to him? Can I escape? Cage is very bad. assistant sounds better” Control concluded in his head. “I choose serve” Control replied with a tremble.
A dark smirk crossed Dhun’galil’s face. “Excellent!! Let the experiments begin!!” He exclaimed with gusto.
