This is the "Real Gabinete Português de Leitura", a Grand Library located in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil.
Visit the Real Gabinete Português de Leitura to see how to fit over 350,000 volumes in just one room. The interior of the room is four stories tall to allow for maximum shelf space, and also houses a small collection of sculptures, paintings, and coins.
I JUST found out about it a few minutes ago and I'm kind of mad because I've been to Rio de Janeiro three times in the past year and never heard of it until just now! Next time, I'll be spending a lot of time there! It's so beautiful!
