Kinda fun label, for those who speak Swedish...
Finland-Swede poet Arvid Mörne
Redrama is one of the best, if not THE best Finnish rapper in english (and also one of the few that raps in swedish too).
There are a few out there though as the local Finnish competition has finally become worth noticing, with names like Noah Kin, Gracias, Kevin T, Brandon, Daco Junior and The Megaphone State.
The only other Finnish rapper worth noticing in english used to be Paleface, but he's doing more and more stuff in finnish nowadays.
Anyways, this track that samples Ozzy Osbournes classic Crazy Train is called Runaway Train. In the lyrics Redrama seems to analyze himself in recent years. There were some hard times for him with a lot of drinking and also his brother passing away. I guess Red himself was the train in question.
With all this knowledge the song feels even stronger. You'll find the track on a mixtape called Cabin Fever Diaries Vol. 1 and if you find it on the net you should grab it. You can find a couple of the songs for download on Redrama's Soundcloud.
Redrama has an even newer release than this one called F.R.E.E., but I have to tell you that I'm not that impressed with it. The flow is great as usual, but the production feels weak. Not sure if it's Redrama's or DJ RNo's fault, but it's probably both. Well, we can't succeed all the time.
I hear Redrama has some upcoming collaborations coming from the direction of Sweden and I'm hoping for stronger production on those. I trust the flow will be excellent as usual. Not worried about that at all. Just check out when he visits a track called My Story by Swedish rapper Jesse P.
