Luke approached Harry whilst focusing much of his attention on the tiny creature in his arms. “I found a kitten on my walk home from school. It’s emaciated, and there is no sign of a colony nearby. I fear it’s been abandoned.” The kitten in question made a quiet mewing sound. Luke’s eyes found Harry’s. “Can I look after it?”
Muses: Jo Grant, Delgado!Master, Liz Shaw and Harry Sullivan. Very UNIT era.
Rules: Preferably keeping it PG-14, it is Doctor Who after all.
I'll add more to this eventually but Files/Asks are open.
Character profiles:
Name: Josephine 'Jo' Grant/Jones
Faceclaim: Katy Manning
Bio: Charming, fearless, and full of heart, Jo Grant is a whirlwind of spirit who proves everyone wrong. She arrives at UNIT without a scientific résumé, dismissed at first glance as clumsy and inexperienced by the Doctor himself. But Jo quickly reveals herself as something far more valuable. She stands tall in the face of danger, unafraid to challenge villains like the Master or push the Doctor when his moral compass wavers.
During the Doctor’s long exile on Earth, Jo is a source of brightness. Her warmth cuts through his frustration, and her presence reminds him what the fight is for. She’s fiercely loyal, guided by principle over protocol, and never afraid to risk her job to protect people or the planet. She soon fell in love with environmentalist Professor Clifford Jones, choosing to leave the TARDIS to travel the world she calls home and save it her way, from the Doctor's teaching.
Years later, Jo (Jones) hasn’t slowed down. She’s chased causes across continents, older but still wild at heart. That spark never left her. Having had twin daughters and thirteen grandchildren. After Cliff passed in 2021, Jo settled herself back in London helping UNIT when possible and sharing her stories to the Companion support group.
Headcanons: TBA
Name: Harold 'Harry' Sullivan, MD
Faceclaim: Ian Marter
Bio: Originally assigned to UNIT as a medical advisor, Harry was roped into TARDIS travel with some gaslighting by Doctor and Sarah. Sturdy, good-humored, and ever the gentleman, Harry brings a grounded presence to the chaos of alien worlds and impossible dangers. He may be old-fashioned, but he’s brave to the core, willing to leap headfirst into danger to protect others.
Though sometimes the butt of joke, Harry is far from bumbling. He’s loyal, clever under pressure, and never backs down when it counts. Whether facing Daleks, Sontarans, or far stranger threats, he proves again and again that heroism doesn’t need flair; it just needs heart.
After returning to Earth and parting ways with the Doctor, Harry didn’t just settle down. He retired from UNIT and the Navy. By 1983, he and Sarah were working together again on covert missions, chasing secrets and strange cases across the globe with K-9. Their partnership deepened, shaped by trust and the quiet resilience of two people who had seen too much to ever be ordinary again.
His adventures don’t end with the TARDIS. In 1986, Harry travels with the Doctor once more, but something goes wrong. He’s stranded in the year 2012. Harry tries his best and adapts. He always does. He started working with UNIT again, mostly Kate Stewart. Serving as a medical liaison.
