so these aren't headcanons in the sense that i don't think they'd all fit cohesively in one shared universe, but here are some ideas i've been tossing around. i've been on a childhood headcanon kick -

1. johnny was friends with the shepards when he was young since they're all mexican. they'd hang out in the church parking lots together while their moms gossipped. so johnny knew dally through tim. but eventually johnny got bothered by how ? ruthless tim could be, and saw dally was a bit kinder underneath than he let on, so he started hanging around dally more.

2. at age, like, 5 or 6, johnny saw dally absolutely wailing on steve. he leaned over to soda "who's that?" "oh, that's just dallas, don't mind him." and johnny fell in love instantly.

3. dally thought johnny was a pussy at first, until they got jumped by some older kids and johnny was good at holding his own. and dally fell in love instantly.

4. one time 8 year old johnny got caught stealing cigarettes from mrs curtis - she was shocked and started yelling (more out if surprise than anything) so johnny ran and hid in the closet. dally followed and was like "dude you dont steal from mrs c, shes cool." so they go back out and dally makes johnny ask for a smoke. the curtises have a "no smoking til youre 13" rule for their own kids, but she knows the score, so she crouches down and is like "okay but just one and dont tell the boys". they go smoke them together on the back steps.

5. johnny's jeans jacket was actually dallys at first, he gave it to him before he left for new york and johnny never took it off.

David loves Chrysta's eyes. It's the first thing that drew him in the first time he ever saw her, and probably the first thing he fell in love with.

He loves how expressive they can be, and how they completely give away whatever she's thinking about or what feelings she's hiding.

How big and glassy they are when she's feeling playful and peeking over Dwayne’s shoulder, or soft and tender when she's sleepy and he's the first face she wakes up to.

Or the way they look under her wet lashes when he has her in tears of overstimulation, and when they roll back into her head when he fucks her in just the right places. 👀

Dwayne loves everything on this woman. I believe Dwayne just couldn't pick if you asked, there's nothing he doesn't feel like praising on Chrysta's body.

Literally right after Anastasia was born. These boys were just itching to get her pregnant again, all fighting for who would be the next to get a little bundle of fangs from their baby mama.

So I'd say around late January, early Febuary was when it hit pretty hard? [Annie was born December 19th.] Spring fever amiright??

It was literally a Sunday, which Chrysta goes to the Emersons once a week to clean some laundry or take a shower, bathe Annie, get some parenting advice from Lucy, etc. And the second she stepped back into the cave, it was like a moth to a flame. I am not joking when I say she was SPRINTING away from from four vampires, with a baby on in her arms while screaming, "NO MORE BABIES TILL WE GET A WEDDING DATE PLANNED!!"

And most of the babies were the outcome of a nasty case of baby fever- especially Dwayne... My girl couldn't walk straight for the first few weeks. ✊️😔

I was having a really unlucky time for a while, recently the stars have started to align for me, or something. I've gotten the part I was gunning for in my final production with my drama company before I go to university, I've been promoted at work and my exams are going well. However, things NEVER go this well for me. Every time I do anything in relation to any of then I'm worried that I've ruined it and I'm going to get the good thing taken off me. I'm not really sure how to stop this (I'm sure my OCD has a part in this), but it's driving me mental, I just want to enjoy the good things that are happening to me.

Oooo I can relate to this so much.

Does logical thinking help? Like when you’re spiraling, can you acknowledge the thoughts and try to think through them? For example-

If you’re worried you flubbed a line in the play and so you’ll lose the part or something, could you acknowledge the thought and be like, okay let’s say I DID mess up the line. What could happen? Well maybe someone would notice. And if they did, what would happen? Well maybe they would say something. And if they did? Nothing. Nobody will take a part from you because of a messed up line.

Like rather than trying to stop the thoughts, acknowledge them and see if you can think THROUGH them.

Also ask yourself what if it happened to someone else? Because sometimes it’s easier to be neutral that way.
