Grape outfit worn by Grape Coco; this room is a glimpse/basic idea of how his tower’s top floor/boss room looks. I still need to gather the ref pictures to make it look like i want it to, but that neon lights version of himself will definitely stay in the final version.

Alternative/specific situations outfits for Grape Coco; first/left one is what he sometimes wears when he’s seen in the casino floors of his building. The cane is for style but also to hit people that cheat. The other/right outfit is specifically for when Coco wants to star in a movie. Which actually consists into crashing into a movie set, threatening everyone- actors, directors, etc into giving him a role in the story. He like to play the male femme fatale and/or the villain- but if anyone says that his character should die or be defeated in the movie, Coco’ll get angry and threaten people at gunpoint... The results movies tend to be either messy or with disturbingly fearful performances from the actors- and with Coco having a blast acting. He calls himself ‘Holly wood’s Pink Flamingo’- and is known for his threats, but no one ever tries to do anything about it. ‘Holly Wood’ is a level in the Fruitbugs game, who’s in the middle of a arid place, and is full of wood logs where movies and some of the game’s flashback cutscenes are filmed. Only flashback ones, because normal cutscenes in Fruitbugs tend to be in real-time and not acted out.

I am aware that i still need to draw/design his true form. I just... wanted to draw these beforehand, lol?

Grape!! Or as he likes to call himself, Coco. He’s a Cyriocosmus Elegans tarantula; but he’d like you believe that he’s a joro spider!

But why is that, you may ask? Why does a *tarantula* want to be a joro spider? Well, that’s because Coco behaves somewhat like the jorogumo spider, who’s a yokai. For those unfamiliar with this monster, it tends to be a beautiful woman, found in unusual places (caves, empty houses…) who is in reality a giant spider, that likes to eat humans- especially young men looking for love. In his case, Coco is and was always intended to be a male in his programming; he’s not picky when it comes to partners, and he doesn’t eat his victims. Instead of a cave, Coco has an entire building all to himself- which is pretty unusual for Fruitbugs, who tend to have relatively small areas; and that building has a casino on its first floor, that Fruitbugs can access at will. The casino doesn’t have machines- instead, there’s only boards and tables, and spinning wheels. Coco prefers to have games that don’t rely on luck- and more on skill and intellect. Because the more of these two things a player possesses, the higher chance that they’ll catch Coco’s interest. If they do, they’ll be put through more games, each one harder than the last; with Coco watching from far away, and commenting on this or that. His comments can go from sarcastic to flirtatious; depending on if he likes the player or not. If the player wins all the games, they will be put against Coco himself. But not in a game of cards, or anything of the sort; in fact, Coco will never mention that the player is put through another game. The ‘game’ is that Coco will flirt and eventually attempt to charm the player. Keeping in mind that Fruitbugs is a DATING sim, isn’t that a little strange…? Those who listen to their instinct telling them that something is off; because Coco isn’t doing his flirting out of love. Truth is- or rather, truthS, are that not only Coco is actually asexual+aromantic/doesn’t truly experience romantic and sexual attraction, but Coco is actually a mafia boss! While his mafia is actually entirely composed of faceless npcs and himself, that doesn’t make their intentions any less nefarious; because the player giving in to Coco’s flirt and allowing him to become one of the player’s Fruitbug dates/boyfriends actually gives Coco full access to their full address. Indeed, the Fruitbugs console has actually a seemingly insignificant function, that locates where it is- for the Fruitbugs creator to see how much his game spread over Futh. And Coco will take advantage of that feature, and send physical enveloppes to the player’s place (Coco simply hacks random post offices printers to create those) that contain death threats, debts and ransoms for great amounts of money. Because Coco is all about money, and playing with people’s feelings… Maybe it’s not as bad as jorogumos eating their lovers, but it’s still pretty bad. And he doesn’t just drains the players’ of their money; when involved in a ‘relationship’ with him, he’s all about putting others down and using them for his own benefit, and charming the player to coax them into getting what he wants. So yeah, Coco’s one of the worst people in the entire Fruitbugs game; only second to Nightshade, who was so bad he got deleted, so... Yeah that makes Coco/Grape the number 1 worst person in Fruitbugs, which is QUITE the feat. Congratulations?? But who knows, maybe one day, Coco will actually care for someone. Or not. We’ll see.

As for the fact that Coco doesn’t have a true form, he actually DOES, but... I don’t have much ideas of how it could look like, and i don’t want to rush it and get something i’m not satisfied with. So he has one, but it’ll be shown when it’s ready. I might actually Draw Coco’s alternate outfits first lol

Grape Coco is pretty much the femme fatale trope but as a dude because i’m so gay, that when i see those kind of female characters in media i’m just like ‘would be better if this was a dude...’ ...
